Took a chance here after stopping it at Amy's ice cream. Amy's is like a little Austin hell hole in the middle of San Antonio. Pretentious garbage ice cream served by questionable characters.Freddy's on the flip side is a lovely little slice of Americana. Staff is friendly, service is quick, and the food is great. The frozen custard was actually outstanding. Will definitely be back!
Freddy's fry sauce is really good if you haven't tried it. This location apparently ran out and they're pre packaging it on their own. I eat the stuff all the time and the stuff I was served doesn't taste right. I mentioned this and they didn't seem to care. It tastes like they added ketchup. Very disappointing when you go for a burger and fries with your favorite fry sauce and it doesn't taste the way it should.
Burger wasn’t made as the receipt asked.Wife is 7 month pregnant and has ordered the same thing her many times during the pregnancy.Pregnant wife politely asked them for the correct burger. Burger fix took longer than usual to make. My food got cold. Then after leaving, my wife became nauseous and terrible headache and throwing up.I assume it’s food poisoning. Based on the unapologetic response and watching the cooks snacking on jalapeños.Sad I have ate here once a week for 6 years but this bad experience has really put a bad taste in my mouth. There are other burger joints I will have to branch out and try some of these.
Freddy's Frozen Custard specializes in flavorful steak burgers and skinny but tasty fries. Today, I ordered two combo's, one with cheese, and both with fries and regular drinks, costing less than $20. We usually go to a location in San Antonio with drive- thru, but today I went to the location at The Quarry, which has no drive-thru window. No matter: They generously granted my request for a "pup cup," a cup of soft yogurt for a dog, without our man-eating Rottweiler being present at a drive-thru window. She's happy!
Clean, Fast & Friendly. Karen the manager shared some history of the restaurant. Pictures displayed on the walls of Freddy and the family make it more welcoming. Everything is delicious.
Burger was good, but I just hate when you get served cold french fries. Waiting on your order for almost ten to fifteen minutes and pay almost $11 for a combo and get your order and the fries are cold, the worst ever!!
I love Freddy's and refuse to go to my normal location sure to rude staff. This one was really nice and the lady who took our order was great. Definitely add the Oreo looking ice cream sandwich to your meal for 99 cents. Worth it!!!
this was our first time visiting Freddie's and we are impressed with the service and helpfulness of the staff from the time we walked in. The store is clean and well maintained. The burgers we ordered were excellent. highly recommend.
first time trying out Freddy's, their steakburgers are delicious and the onion rings are hot and crispy, the fries i tried were good! the fry sauce is a must try!
Saturday november 20th..walked in and walked up to register and the lady just stares at me..no greeting or anything.. So we just stand there looking at eachother for a couple of seconds before i talk to her first.. Lol.. Something tells me she doesn't do that with every customer but i have tattoos and brown skin
