Fantastic service. Delicious and authentic favorites. So many yummy menu options to choose from. Great deli options to take home.
This place has been here for awhile. But, my 1st time to visit. Had the lunch 1/2 size eggplant parmigiana. Perfect for a late lunch.
Dinner out and a local recommended Fratello’s. Good salads and sandwiches. House made chips are delicious.
We went here after the zoo and it was a great place to chill and cool down a little while having some fantastic food. I got the pappardelle bolognese and it was delicious. I love the efficiency as well. Order at the counter and pay when you come in, find a table and then no need to wait for the check or boxes. If you need them just go grab them.
Yet another place we accidentally discovered. We went to another spot first, but it didn't work out, so we came here since we were in the area. Everything we ordered was delicious. We even tried some of our friends' food, and that was delicious as well. Only issue I might have is the price, so you may need to prepare.to spend a little when you come...but I'd say it is worth it.
The food is great. Stopped by for lunch. My wife had the lunch special, a slice of pepperoni pizza and a Cesar Salad. She loved it. I had the Italian sausage sandwich, with homemade chips. It was superb. We tried the tiramisu, and it was so good. We picked up 2 lbs of Italian sausage to make a meal at home. The staff is friendly and warm. We've never had a bad meal here.
Deli is listed as an Italian Market & Deli. From what I’ve seen from previous reviews, they’ve all been negative because it’s not a true Italian Market & Deli. Nothing like keyboard warriors, everyone must keep in mind it’s the U.S. and not everything is authentic. They tailor to the local community. Either enjoy or don’t go.That being said it’s certainly a unique take on Italian cuisine in the heart of Texas. My wife and I have traveled multiple times to Italy and the different regions. We love Italian food and always looking to find a little spot. While Fratellos Deli isn’t authentic Italian the food is still good. The waitress was extremely helpful and nice throughout our stay. The food on the other hand was good but did have its minor issues. My wife’s sandwich was a bit spicy to the point she had to stop eating it. I also tried it and could only handle so much, while it does contain spicy ingredients, you want to keep people coming back and that’s not how you do it. My pizza was very delicious with the four cheeses, however, it was a bit greasy. I would expect this from a delivery pizza company not a Deli.Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether positive or negative. We recommend trying this Deli out and positively finding something you’ll enjoy. We will back, there’s a multitude of options and hopefully we might one of those dishes that’s just excellent.Follow: The Adventure Continues (Facebook)
Kitchen does not wear gloves. Guy slicing the meat was touching each piece with his hands after touching around the back.Horrible deli selection with terrible service. This is not a real Italian deli.
If you want authentic Italian food, then no. Just like the previous reviewer said, there are dishes on the menu that you won’t find in Italy and that’s true. I had half order of meatballs with spaghetti and it was too salty and a wee bit dry, and also my order came with just 1 meatball. I’m assuming if you order a full, you’ll get two meatballs. It’s not my favourite Italian food place but if you’re hungry like I was, you’ll wolf it down.
Visiting SAN from CT, noticed this place on the W side of Broadway driving out to the Witte. Looked at the wife and said 'Let's try it'. So we stopped on the way back into the city. Not really a restaurant, more a deli/takeout place with seating. But the aromas are terrific! You order at the counter and a staff person brings you your food. I ordered a salad, a half order of lasagna, and a glass of red wine. Our food arrived after a short wait. I looked at the lasagna and thought 'Wow'. Good sized meaty slab with shaved (not grated) parmesan on top! My local fav Italian place uses the grated stuff. Salad was fresh with a nice dressing. Wine hit the spot. Excellent! Atmosphere is what it is. No table cloths, no snooty waiters, no wine steward. We liked it enough to go back a second time during our week stay!
