The pastries were fresh and very friendly staff. I have never know that they had places that allowed you to pick your own pastires and then have them pack them for you. Learning experience however, wonderful service.
Best bakery I have ever been to! Being homesick for some time, this place really brings me back to my childhood. The nice atmosphere, music and aroma is a thing to remember. There was a young woman behind the counter who was so friendly and she chatted with us as we were looking over the case of heavenly snacks. I never would have imagine buying so many sweets and cookies, that it just appeared in my tray by themselves. I really need to go to the gym after this then come back again, its a guilty pleasure for sure. IT REALLY IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL. Will immediately come back for seconds, thirds and more.
Oh my gosh this place is so good. The pan dulce is delicious and their barbacoa is some of the best I've had.
Guess its okay for some folks, not me. Didn't like their Mexican Barbacoa taste. Can't find anyone in San Antonio yet, that can prepare and cook it the right way. The add spices, not suppose to. Watch the cooking container as the meat absorbs a the taste. The green salsa was awful. Tasted like aluminum.
Yes, this place has a good selection of pan dulces, donuts, and other sweet breads. But, they yell at you in Spanish even though they understand English and can speak in English. They rather speak to you strictly in Spanish. And they sorta expect you to talk to them in Spanish or respond back to them Spanish. I get it... that it's a Panaderia, but there customer service sucks.Employees seem to have an attitude problem. They stare at you as you're choosing your own items. It's like they are impatiently waiting for you to decide because they hate their jobs. They don't smile and there are no prices available. So, you're not sure what everyhting costs. EBT is not accepted. And you should not expect any help or friendly service.
One of the best Mexican bakery I have ever been too.
Man, I can say from experience, one of the best barbacoa in the city! It's only on the weekends. They have tamales too. I don't know about their baked goods because I just wanted the barbacoa and . They did look good though. (Sorry no pics, I will add some when I go back?) But, if I could base it off the quality of what I ordered than it must be good as well.???
They make delicious Barbacoa, however they gave out day old tortillas and small container of pico de Gallo. I guess you have to ask for fresh tortillas.
It would help if they put price of bread by it. Like that you know how much to take. Was surprised a small piece of bread for 1.69 that is a lot for bread with out filling and just sugar on top.
Delicious, lots of treats to choose from, and very affordable. They even have the shelves labeled so you know the names of the goodies and what fillings are inside. ?
