Went for the all you can eat fried, steamed,or cold shrimp every tues & Thur & accompanied with big ol mug of beer for $4.50 can't beat it been going for years it's been there since 1982 changed owners 3 times but still on point everything was great waitresses very attentive they've had my business & will continue to definitely go support.........
Where do I start? The place was dirty. The service was absolutely terrible. The place next to us at the bar was dirty for so long until two other guests showed up and cleaned it themselves. We ordered raw oysters and they were delicious, however everything else was disappointing. My husband and I ordered a pound of steamed snow crab each (it ended up being 2 small clusters). They were cold and very small. It came with 3 bland, terribly cooked sides. For EACH order, it was $65. We ended up spending just as much at Dry Dock than we have at an upscale steakhouse like J Prime or Eddie Vs. I would have spoken to the manager, but she was very drunk. Absolutely awful experience. Do not go there unless you just want oysters.
Staff was nice, food was decent enough (a bit bland, but not bad), but the service was abysmally slow. Ordered the all-you-can-eat shrimp special. First 2 plates came fairly quick, but I spent over 45minutes waiting on the 3rd plate. I had to check with one of the servers twice to make sure it didn't get forgotten about. Eventually gave up and paid, leaving disappointed instead of full. I know the restaurant industry is still having post Covid staffing issues and I'm not trying to come off as a Karen, but this was BAD. I honestly cannot recommend this place
Food and service was very good, 1 star off for being too pricey for my comfort. Had the kids plate of fried oysters for a cheaper price and it was a larger portion then I expected, just right for me. I had already taken several bites before taking the picture. Great selection of beer and wine too.
Nice wrap around bar... Had the Buffalo wings for an appetizer and the Wednesday special ( fried seafood ) 1 piece of fish, 3 shrimp and 3 oysters...yummy plate under $15.00. I'm a draft beer fanThey serve by the pint, stein, scooner and pitchers. Reasonably-priced dinning for 2 under $50.00. Roger and Karrie the bar tenders are fun and very attentive. Will definitely return.
My boyfriend and I decided to eat here for dinner, and while first impressions were decent, things went south as soon as our food arrived. It was a Thursday, so my BF ordered the all you can eat shrimp combo, consisting of boiled, grilled, and fried shrimp. I ordered the butterflied rainbow trout, with potatoes and corn on the cob. The boiled shrimp were difficult to peel, and when he finally managed to do so, we found that the shrimp had not been de-veined.To add insult, once he finally was able to eat one, it tasted bland, fishy, and briny. The grilled shrimp had all the same issues, as well as the fried ones. It wasn’t worth the hassle of peeling them, and no amount of butter or cocktail sauce could improve the taste. My meal was only slightly better in comparison. The fish was bland, along with the potatoes. But the corn on the cob was the worst offender, tasting more like the water the corn was boiled in than an actual ear of corn. Again, nothing I put on it was able to make it taste any better.Overall, it was a very disappointing meal, and while our waiter was polite (compared to other guests experiences), I cannot recommend that anyone eat here until the quality of the food improves.
I moved to San Antonio from the East Coast and whenever I need a taste of home I go here. I strictly go for oysters and beer. Rarely anything else. Other items on the menu are of high quality as well. Oysters are always plump, cold, and well shucked. It takes a little time for them to arrive but I have no complaints. I’m there to relax and oysters take some time to shuck well. I can’t wait to go again to try more of the menu and have some more oysters.
Came here for the first time 3 weeks ago. I’ve been here 5 times so far. Love the vibes, love the food, excellent service, and… They serve ABSOLUTE UNITS…
I use to love this place. Don’t get me wrong the food is still amazing, but the service absolutely sucks and that is a reason for my 1 star. Took 10 minutes to even get acknowledged and given a menu even though we walked right passed the waiters. Ordered our food (crawfish and boiled shrimp) asked for a trash bowl for all the shells never received it. Asked for crackers and lemons, never received it. Asked for two waters, only got one. Waited 20 minutes before we had to go ask for our check. Some of the worst service we have ever experienced. Don’t know if we’ll be back.
The ladies tonight we fabulous. On top of all of the customers. The cooks prepared yummy seafood. Hands down a go to for fresh fish. Even when you live in Boerne ?
