Dosas cooked to perfection. Beautiful flavors in the accompanying sauces and curries. I am a fan of Indian food in the area, but Dosa City brings a south Indian/Sri Lankan flavor and approach to food that is uncommon in a market largely dominated by northern Indian cuisine. Refreshing and delicious. Well worth a visit - we will be regular customers.
We wanted to try different restaurant rather than going to the same restaurants. To the surpise food options were different compared to other Indian restaurants. The food we ordered were authentic tamil foods and all are really good. Some of the food item was exactly taste like we eat back in India and the way it was made and look also similar. Will try again with other food items in the menu.
Small shop with good variety of food , everything we had tasted good ? quantity was good too ?? we had chicken kothu idiyappam ( which I never had anywhere in satx ) butter chicken , vechu parotta, egg vechu parotta, ginger tea ☕️ spice level was moderate will be going back to try briyani and meals .
Good taste. Good place. Try their idli vada combo and onion rava masala dosa...Slow at service heads up but good at taste.
This place is excellent! The food is very fresh and the flavors are on point. The staff is friendly and gave some great recommendations from the menu. Very reasonably priced I’ll definitely be back.
The ultimate taste experience. The real madurai/chettinad taste.
Great place for South Indian food, especially Dosas. My fav - Podi Idli and Onion Rava Dosa. It was delicious and authentic.
Dosa city has some good plates. We ordered regular and onion dosa and it was good. It comes with 3 chutneys (dipping style of sauces). They are coconut, tomato and I think egg plant based. The one I liked the most was the tomato based sauce. We also had their mango lassi and that was really good. They have a few tables for dine-in, but a lot of people were ordering to-go.Parking is a little tricky. There's only one entrance and it can get full/busy.
Doesn't look like much when you drive by. It's in a shopping strip across from USAA in a neighborhood that has the highest concentration of Indians in the city. After Pavani Express closed down years ago, I was left without a Dosa place in town until this came along. It’s definitely a no frills type of eatery! But it delivers on exactly what you expect. Good dosas, and good snacks. Highly recommend their samosas and their medu Vada. Their sambar doesn't come separate it comes as part of the tray which is fine. Still delicious and flavorful. Most people order to go from here but I suggest dining in at least at first. Dosas get soggy and I'm a big texture guy so I recommend dining in to get the true dosa experience. The spice level is true to South Indian taste buds (if you're used to spicy authentic Mexican food like me you will be fine) so be cognizant of that when ordering the Mysore Masala Dosa, it's incredibly delicious but it has a kick!Parking is a bit tricky but not impossible. You just need to be careful.I haven’t tried any of their non vegetarian dishes so I’ll have to try for the next time.
Good Sri Lankan food.
