Went there for a quick meal...as you can see it was not that note worthy... Had to waitresses....the younger lady was very attentive her partner seem to be a bit distracted and fail to bring my toast the first and second time....was kind bothersome to me.. made my food go cold waiting. Not a deal breaker but just wanted to mention it.
I learned something today that Noone ever thinks about. The wait we have been experiencing lately when we dine in is because of the take-outs like n grubhub and other service. The waitress/waiter has to do all the work for that order first before serving dine in. On top of that they get no part of the tip. They get dozens if call from rude delivery driver wanting them to bring the food to the car again no tip. My son felt so bad and tip our waitress twice. They should all receive an increase in pay.

It is with this I wish to inform you about the Denny's on Foster Road in San Antonio. You lost a very valuable member to your team over one 1-star review. What is failed to understand Ben had 2 members on the clock the server and the cook. We all did our best to get people taken care of and we were hit hard. Our manager did everything in his power to make everyone feel welcomed while helping me and the cook out on top of doing dishes for the night because we had no dishwasher. Denny's will take a hard hit with the loss of this manager he was the best manager that store had and I truly believe he was the only reason that store survived as long as it did. With him leaving so do I. I refuse to work with any other manager any longer without him being there. He was the only manager there who took things seriously. There have been multiple things that the swing shift has tried to bring to the general manager's attention and nothing had changed. The only person who tried to change things was Ben and since he is no longer there I will no longer be working at Denny's either. This store is not going to survive without Ben there. It was wrong for his name to be blasted when we are a team and he shouldn't have been the only one to take the blame on one review. Denny's is short-staffed for various reasons and that wasn't his fault, he shouldn't have been blasted or blamed for one review.
Went in today for lunch. Was pretty busy with a long wait but food was good. Our waitress Melissa was the best. Very friendly and nice. Couldn't ask for better service thanks to her. Definitely will be back to this location.
I talked with the server working last night. In the little conversation we were able to manage while she was running around. We learned that she was the only server. They only had one cook. And the manager was helping them both out. They have a staff shortage and a food shortage. The trucks just don’t have what they need I’m guessing and nobody wants to work anymore. I’d give more stars if possible. Great service from Bre, the cook and the manager. Food came out fast, it was hot and our drinks remained full! Good job you three!
We did UberEATS from here and it was amazing!!!! The order was perfect. Nothing left out. Everything fresh and hot!! Was the best I've ever had from a Denny's!!!
I ordered the Cobb salad with 2x orders of prime rib, one is usually never enough. Let's just say I am glad I did not order steak. The cook tonight burnt/overcooked ever piece of prime rib on my salad. Almost all the lettuce was wilted and most likely old. Not sure if there were a couple of pieces of egg shells or just the prime rib but something was crunchy and it definitely was not the lettuce. They forgot to put the potato sticks like the salad is supposed to come with. All in all, not a good dinning experience or dinner. I do not think I will try the breakfast since I had such a bad experience with dinner.
Ordered a double cheese burger and got half a patty, that they try to cover up with cheese and lettuce. I guess the staff got hungry. Don't stop here!
Ordered our food at just before noon and it's now 12:15pm n we still haven't received it... my bf n I are super hungry n they are not busy at all... we are at the Dennys in the travel center. Normally we don't have to wait this long.... that's why they got one star... not happy n they aren't receiving a tip from us.
