Alright. As far as burger places go, this was awesome. I had their specialty, the tostada burger and it was delicious. I do wish it was seasoned a little bit more with salt and pepper but the overall burger was good. It had refried beans, tortilla chips, bacon (which I added) and cheese. I ordered the large size which is called macho and is 1/2 lb of meat. I would definitely come back again. Parking was adequate and free.
I'm not a big fan of smash burgers, but the burgers here are really good. Flavorful beef, and something about the bun was soooo good. I normally leave half of the bun to save some carbs, but couldn't resist eating the whole burger at Chris Madrid's. The staff us very friendly and the guy at the bar was so helpful. I also love their patio area. It's very large and has misters on the fan, which should be a requirement for every outdoor seating area in Texas!
Exceptional food. One of the best burgers and shakes I have ever had. The flavor was amazing. When I was there, they continued to follow safety guidelines around Covid. Which was good to see. It was a busy day, so the line to order was long. Overall great staff, service, and experience. Would recommend to anyone hoping for a delicious meal.
First time dining here in years and it was as good as ever! We avoided the crowd by going around 4 pm on Monday. We walked right up to the counter and ordered, then grabbed our drinks and sat down to wait for our food. It was under 10 minutes before the staff brought our food to the table, freshly prepared with warm cheddar oozing from the burgers and glistening fries. We ordered Macho Cheddar Cheesy burgers, which we’re the 1/2 lb version of the stated fan favorite, topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and a healthy amount of melting cheddar cheese. The way we devoured our burgers and fries, it was evident that we were hungry and the food was good. I can honestly say that this is the best burger between Texas and Maryland. Can’t wait to return!
While waiting for a package at a nearby post office, went here for lunch. Asked someone in line - which moved very quickly - what she would recommend. She liked the nachos but then we saw someone walk by with a burger! We both ordered a burger. Haven't had a burger that loaded with flavor, cheese and goodness in a long time! The bun was soft and fresh and the fries were so good! Wish there was a Chris Madrid's near us in Colorado!
Real cheddar cheese makes their burgers top notch. Live music (guitarist) on Friday night made the outdoor atmosphere festive. We were there for a large family gathering which the staff pulled off without a hitch. They even offered veggie burgers which was nice for a Lenten Friday option. Margaritas rim options included saltor Tejin for a little added flair.Left the restaurant well-fed and happy. Definitely recommend if you want to eat in a hopping fun atmosphere.
Really enjoyed it. We had not been back since it burned and it didn’t let us down
Best. Burgers. Ever. And the nachos are nothing to sleep on either. Lives up to the hype.
We visited Chris Madrids for the first time when Texas Governor Abbot appeared for a meet & greet. We were some of the first to meet him, and several were still in line after we had our meal. Why did we wait so long to eat at Chris Madrids for lunch? The burgers and service were deserving of 5 stars. My wife had the Cheesy Chedder Burger, and I had the Old Fashioned Burger. Think of the best grill flavored/seasoned hamburger you've ever eaten, then give a 20% better compliment for Chris Madrids. There were about 6 or 7 specialty hamburgers, but all were less than the typical gourmet burger joint. My Old Fashioned came with plenty of condiments. We kept it simple and had fries with the burgers; they were a little dry to me. But the grilled burger took my mind off of them. Our Coke and Diet Coke were refillable and bottomless. This may sound odd, but I was also impressed with men's restroom. It was very clean, even with the large lunch crowd, and the wall tiles were a beautiful, expensive Mexican motif. There were three features to the restaurant: the large, main dining room; the outdoor patio seating with shaded tables and benches, probably 20 in total; a dance floor with a bar. Chris Madrids could easily host a large group, or provide a cosiy booth for two.
Great burgers and nachos Friendly service
