Went to an old go to for my B day. It had been since 2017 since I had eaten there.This place is truly Timeless. It was amazing and my inner fat boy was pleased.Somethings never change and in this case there is no need to reinvent the wheel here.Great service. Perfectly cooked food. The double cheese burger with double bacon was juicy and satisfying. The fries were crisp and hot. The stuffed pickled jalapeños with pimento cheese were a nice surprise.Glad to see this place still knocking it outta the park.
They really do serve excellent burgers here. The buns are toasted so they don't get all soggy. I like getting everything on the side, so I can dress my burger exactly how I want it. Unlike any other burger joints, they have pimento cheese stuffed jalapenos as a side order. Those are definitely worth getting. The fries still have the skin attached, which I like. Their onion rings are great. They have a wide selection of beers, and they always feature several, for $2 - can't beat that. I want to give a shout out to one of the managers (Melissa). She was great! I love this establishment. It's head and shoulders above any fast food burger place. Check it out. You will not be disappointed!
Incredible food. Seriously good burgers and fries. Always juicy, always well done unless you tell them otherwise. If you get lettuce, it'll probably be shredded lettuce, just in case you don't like shredded lettuce. Monday during lunch time was when I went and it was one of the best times to go considering how busy they can get. If you like burgers, this needs to be on your list to go and try.
If you choose to eat here watch where you sit! During a recent visit, while waiting for our food to come out. A large piece of metal for the AC (approximately 16inx16in) fell off the ceiling coming within inches of causing a serious injury. We were not offered anything. Not even an algology. The only thing the manager said was that she could not believe the metal fell again as it had just happened the previous day. Upon further inspection the piece of metal was “attached” to the ceiling using blue painters tape.
(My first time here) Green chili burger was ok, the fries were not seasoned at all...... it was very disappointing when I called my order ahead of time because i get a short lunch break, I arrived and was told since they forgot to ask for my name, they didn't put in my order so I had to wait as there were several orders ahead of mine.
Chester's has a regular chili-burger and a Hatch green chili-burger. This is a plus for anyone who likes chili on their burger. The service is good when they are not too busy. The burgers come with a generous pile of tomato, onion and lettuce. Prices are a little high.
Chester's is a San Antonio classic burger joint serving an awesome chilli cheese burger. I also enjoy the green chili burger or the chicken sandwich, fries are separate but enough to share!
Has to be one of my favorite burger places in San Antonio. The Poppy seed buns are to die for but seems like they went with a different vendor as they are a bit bigger than usual. Still loving the flavors. Fries are super tasty, just make sure they are fresh.
Burgers are good but maybe I came in on a bad day as it didn't taste the same way as I remembered a few years back. The green chili they served was on the side and cold. Would have though they would have grilled it on the burger.
Love the hamburgers made fresh to order. The fries are home made like mom use to make. Highly recommend ?.
