Did you know that Che’s Chicken at 4303 South Presa (in Riverside) was originally a Whopper Burger (which is now Burger Boy) - specifically, Whopper Burger #4? Well, it was!Also, I’m obsessed with Che’s chicken gizzards - and I don’t even like chicken gizzards(!).
OMG best fried chicken ever. Twice as good as KFC and half the cost. FEED A Family of 4 for under$20. Leftover chicken still crispy, cold from the fridge! This place is unreal. Also got onion rings, they were perfection. Every bite was crisp and bit clean through, so slimy half cooked onion snakes where only the breading comes off ( you know what I mean). Take out only, but perfect for our hotel stay. Must love chicken!
New in town, need a quick but delicious local dinner without driving all over this crazy San Antonio. Discovered Che's was nearby, drove straight over (recognize that it isn't Beverly Hills, but I never felt unsafe) and ordered a full compliment of chicken and biscuits...even got upsold on the apple crisp (which to be honest, turned out to be much closer to a McDonald's apple pie...but still tasty!)When I got back home, the chicken was devoured post haste and we could not have been happier. The meat was moist and the breading was perfect.There's not much more to say other than, if we come back to town and stay anywhere near Che's, we're stopping in!
I love the chicken here it's always fresh and is always delicious... Can't wait to go get some more.
Its was alright. I'm from Louisiana we have good fried chicken at the corner stores just saying but I would go again
Che's was am impulse drop for my wife and I. It was a small walk up chicken joint with some nice deals. We ordered a lot of chicken and fried okra. I have tried a lot of fried chicken in San Antonio, and this was definitely one of the best do far. The okra was perfectly salted and fried to a nice crisp on the outside. The great food combined with wonderful service definitely deserves 5 stars and a recommendation to try this place out!
Never know what to expect in ordering chicken tenders or the quality of fries, but the tenders were fresh—not old or previously frozen—and great fries. Will return.
So my grandfather used to take me to Ches chicken as a small child. I am still going to Ches til this day! What more can I say? The chicken is sooooo good! Hands down! Always fresh! Will always continue to visit this establishment as long as they are open for service!
Co-worker wanted to go some where new and someone told her about this place. Chicken is delicious and the price is pretty fair. The burgers are small but full of flavor. Definitely going back again.
Che's ?! Another hole inda wall San anto secret. Big box of juicy chicken,tenders and also fish. Love it. And the prices are great. Only chicken place were you get white & dark for an affordable price
