My husband and I came to eat breakfast at Bobbie's Cafe this morning and it was amazing. They had a short wait time, but it was worth the wait for fine food and company. My husband had the two-egg breakfast which came with two eggs, grits, bacon, and toast. The food was delivered quickly along with fresh coffee and cooked just as we ordered it. I had the waffle, eggs, and bacon plate and honestly the sugar pearl waffles were delicious! They make home cooked food with Bobbie’s original recipes. They are a family-owned and operated business with pictures of Bobbie herself on the wall. The Café is rich with family history right down to the old cash register. Do yourself a favor and make the drive, grab a cold bottle of water for your short wait, and get your own amazing food. We will absolutely recommend this place and we will be back.

This score is based on service and not the food which is a shame. The food was good especially since you won’t find many country breakfasts in the area. We enjoyed the pancakes, biscuits, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The managers were nice but don’t monitor the waitstaff. Our server couldn’t be found so the manager waited on us. When the server did come she saw us twice then sat in a booth next to us with 2 other servers and never checked on us, gave us refills or even the check. She never came back to serve us. Instead she went to use her phone. The other servers sat using their phones. A man came in and he had to wait for someone to get his order with 3 servers in a booth in front of him talking to each other. If they’re going to goof off then not in front of the customers. Have them go the back or somewhere else or better yet hire servers who want to work.

There were nine of us and we got seated within 5 minutes during a busy lunch time rush. I ordered a senior size lunch and it was enough for two or three people. It was delicious! The menu is quite varied and I think you can get breakfast all day. I had fried fish and a side of onion rings. The onion rings are handmade here, NOT frozen! My friend shared his fries and they were extra crispy. Yum! Here's a picture of another friend's chicken fried steak that she got "to go" for her husband. Not only that, it was quite affordable. Service was super attentive. Next time I'm on the south side I'm coming here!

It was OK don't think I'd go back had the chicken fried steak eggs and hash browns I had to have toast they ran out of biscuits?? Okaay Really?? So let's start with the chicken fried steak it was hot and fresh but it had so much salt that's all I tasted was salt. Eggs were OK hash browns average .. I could have had a better meal at Magnolia Haus with a Mimosa...

I most definitely will be back to explore more of the menu, the service was outstanding, the food was TEXAS hospitality just like I've come to love. The atmosphere is definitely for a country soul. And the prices for the quality and quantity is unrivaled elsewhere!!!!! This is a must go San Antonio spot that ain't goin nowhere!!!!!I went with friends and we all got custom orders and we all loved it one hundred percent ❤️❤️❤️❤️?????!!!!!

Fantastic restaurant for authentic freshly cooked American food. Lovely owner Ana and all the staff were delightful

The enchilada plate was ok, looks better than it taste. The pancakes were really good! The chicken fried steak was huge. The meat was tender however maybe just a little to much excess crust.

From the friendly staff to the amazingly delicious food you will not be disappointed. You will not leave hungry. Order the chicken fried steak, or any of their other home made delicious foods. Can’t wait to go back!

From the friendly service to the amazing food this place is a must!! You will not leave hungry.
