The barbecue was amazing! The brisket was so tender and moist. The ribs fell right off the bone and all of the meats had a great smoke flavor to it. The place might be just a run down hole in the wall but the food says differently. We will definitely return for more.
A $15 baked potato should have more than than sausage and cheese. The menu teased huge and loaded. It was neither. I hope this was an accident. I hope this was Friday the 13th because your reviews don't reflect my experience
THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST BBQ I'VE HAD IN TEXAS, MIGHT BE THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!!! I HAD BRISKET, PULLED PORK, SAUSAGES, SWEET BEANS, MAC AND CHEESE, AND LEMONADE. EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING AND PERFECT. 10/10HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! ALSO AMAZING SERVICE!!!
I’ve had BBQ from all the popular spots in west Texas and the Hill Country (including Lockhart), but BBQ Life is on a whole other level! The previously mentioned are good don’t get me wrong, but BBQ Life is by far the BEST Texas barbecue I’ve ever had. My wife and I came across it last week and have already been back twice. So far we’ve tried the chopped beef sandwich, The Outlaw (sandwich) and the beast known as THE SPREAD!!!! If you want real Texas barbecue you’ve gotta try BBQ Life.
Absolutely delicious food! Outlaw loaded baked potato and brisket tacos is what we ordered. It may not be the best looking place, but the FOOD will not disappoint! Prices of food are very reasonable for the amount of food given. Very friendly and welcoming staff!

After not wanting those commercial bbq chains and craving something real, i stopped by BBQLife by Chris. This place was so beefy and stuffed. These weren't wimpy sandwiches, they are satisfying and you will not regret it. Definitely recommended.
This is an EXCELLENT place to stop by when you’re looking for good BBQ. I will drive to the other side of town for their food. The meat is so tender and juicy, the bread is fresh, the BBQ sauce is some of the best sauce I’ve ever had and if you haven’t had their Mac and cheese you better get it before it sells out!
Oh My Gosh, I am a huge fan!! Their BBQ is to die for. I have to be honest I was skeptical at first, but then I smelt the BBQ as they have a huge pit that has to be perfectly seasoned. Their BBQ is by far the best I have had. This is definitely my go to for BBQ. If you haven’t been here I highly recommend you go….. the brisket is so juicy and falls apart and their turkey is just perfect. Oh and don’t get me started on the homemade macaroni and cheese. You just have to go and give it a try. My husband and I go at least once a week.
