Perfect place to try any and all drinks from hard to find whiskey and bourbon to special cocktails. Bar is fully stocked and service is beyond any bar with knowledge and experience. Prices aren't to bad either. Especially on the hard to find liquor, would highly recommend but don't be discouraged if you can't find the door
Bar is kind of hidden. It's located downstairs under a different bar. Inside is really nice, but tight outside seating. Also you have to walk through outside seating area to get to inside. Smoking allowed outside. Inside has bar and high table seating. Signature cocktails made here and drinks are about 12 to 14 bucks on the average. I went on a First Friday night which is a special event locally, so place was really packed. I did not enjoy having to wait about 10 maybe 15 minutes for a drink. Main reason I gave it three stars. But I will give it another chance on a different weekend to be fair. Environment is casual or dress nice. Good place to go mingle and meet people or a date night.
This speakeasy is a must try. The mixologist are on top of their game. I just tell them what I like and let them go to work. It is, by far the most impressive whiskey collection I have ever seen anywhere and I've been to Kentucky and Scotland.
Went to Bar 1919 while on vacation in San Antonio. The atmosphere is great and sets a really good vibe. Our bartender was amazing and it was a joy watching him make our drinks. You could tell he really knew what he was doing. Drinks were strong and not too pricey. Definitely check it out!
Very awesome bartenders, actually hilarious they make you laugh easily. Very friendly. Atmosphere was lowkey and comfortable. The drinks were delicious. I got a grasshopper that was creamy, minty, not too strong and not too sweet, just perfect. They couldn't make me a dirty shirly but the bartender made a drink specially for me called a Gimlet but he added delicious grenadine to it. Wish I could go there every night.
Easily the best bar in San Antonio. It has a great selection of bourbon and whiskey. The decor is speakeasy prohibition vide as it is hidden with no signs or advertisement. The bartenders are true professionals at their crafts

Fantastic speakeasy style cocktail bar with an impressive bottle collection behind the bar. Not super tricky to find but the basement location makes for a more cozy experience. All the drinks are top notch and their selection of pre-prohibition drinks is something to get a few of.
One of the greatest Speak-easy's in the State of Texas. The intimate atmosphere of this place allows guests to relax after a hard working day. The professional staff works hard, and stays positive and that's what makes this place great.It's a place where historical mixology is practiced and creates an environment that's like no other.We love you guys, see ya Tuesday as usual.
The bar is centered around whiskey/bourbon/scotch drinks, however they still had a nice selection of other cocktails and even beers on tap. On a Saturday night, the place was very full but seating was available if you were patient. Bar tender gave me a great recommendation for a gin cocktail called "the perfect ten". Keep an eye out for the giraffes!
