Had my sons birthday here. Very impressed! They provided plates/ cups and the Jupiter package was crazy reasonable. Best prices around for sure! AC our host was the best. So friendly and helpful! Will definitely go back.
Love this bowling alley! Family fun! Owner, manager, employees are all helpful. Concessions/cafe has a great selection and reasonable prices.
As a pretend professional bowler with a 210 average... this is one of the only REAL bowling alleys in all of San Antonio. The approach is smooth for a good slide and the lanes are oiled everyday. I've been to others like Main Event and Bowlero but those are geared for kids and drunk people who spill soda and beer everywhere. Astro does have a bar and snack bar so you can get beer and food. Its a real bowling alley.
A bit overpriced for two people but well worth it when renting out a lane for a group. Only downsides is this bowling alley is located in an unsettling part of town at night and the lane electronic equipment is extremely outdated.
We called ahead of time to see if we could make a reservation and they said they don't do that. But they assured us that they will have lanes available throughout the evening . We showed up and when we went to try and get a lane they informed us that a event reserved half of the lanes and the current wait time would be 45 min. This was at 330. So we said ok that's fine. We bought food and waited. Come around 430 we asked again. They said it still will be bit of a wait. They really didn't have a time. So we waited 30 more minutes checking in every 10 min. At 5 they finally said we will be getting a lane. After another 30 min of waiting they let us know they only had 4 lanes opened due to the event reserving more lanes after we finally put out names down. The staff is rude. We waisted time and money at this business that didn't deserve neither. They clearly where catering more to there event they had going on and ignoring the regular customers.
Took very long to get signed in and then when we put our name down wasnt told more lanes were reserved for the time wastes 2 hrs waiting on my childs birthday to not even get to bowl.

So far this bowling season is going good. No major complaints as of midway thru the season. Only little problem is the people that are around the streets, that come in and ask for money. Bar is good just needs more drinks added to the list lol. The snack bar is good for how busy they get. Def working hard in the kitchen.
Affordable family fun. Enjoyed pizza pitcher of soda and an hour of bowling. We all had fun.
The food and drinks were a bit pricey for such small servings but it was really fun. We had a good time and the price to play was very good for a big group like ours. I like the old retro vibe. The restrooms were immaculately clean. If you need to buy a drink I recommend you buy from the vending machines because their drink is the same price and its very small with no refills.
