Anchor Bar scratches the wing craving itch for sure. Their wings are hot and crisp, their sauces/rubs are definitely good choices. I usually go for the garlic parmesan and honey garlic. Their fries are also top tier, nice and crisp and flavorful. Their salads are also really good, I recommend going here for your American food fix.
Horrible customer service experience. I'm from out of town and a friend brought us here (she had never been either she lives in San Antonio) We told waitress pizza was burnt and she replied "that's how it's supposed to be" that its supposed to be "charred". That is an unacceptable response!!. I am a food blogger so this was by far one of the worst experiences here. We also felt they were being racist towards my bf. We had a white waitress and black male server. Everyone's wings came out but his we had to remind them several times for them. If you're looking for GOOD pizza do NOT come to Anchor Bar
ANCHOR BAR MANAGEMENT ALLOWS SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. THEY ARE VERY WELL KNOWN OF THE SITUATION GOING ON AND ALLOW IT. JUST A “write up” IS THE MAX THEY WILL DO, BUT WILL PULL ASIDE AN INNOCENT WORKER TO HARASS AND FALSELY ACCUSE OF GOSSIP!!!!! WHEN ALL THEY DID WAS DIRECTLY TELL A MANAGER THEIR CONCERNS OF WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE WORK PLACE. DO NOT GO HERE TO SUPPORT THIS! WAY TO GO MANAGEMENT! MANAGERS OF THE YEAR ????????????
Over the years it's been hit or miss for my family and I here but today was excellent. Service was absolutely great, server was awesome, food was fresh and fantastic. The only problem I had this time was the hidden surcharge for the wings. There was an extra $0.30 a wing surcharge which was not mentioned on the menu, also a $0.25 up charge getting two flavors of wings. If I had known about the extra charges I would have ordered something else. When I dine with my family I'm on a budget and don't expect to see surprises on my bill.

Our waiter started out strong but than disappeared as the night went on. Drinks kind of sat at the bar and we had to flag em down to get a box or check. Overall they were polite and our food tasted good.
was a great experience this past weekend, good food & drinks were excellent. we sat at the bar & were able to converse with the bar tender Mallorie, great girl!!!!! we can see she works very hard & made us feel right at home despite how busy it was. 10/10 will be back.

This place is trash they have open table’s and still have us waiting for a seat for 2 hours the waiter’s are rude straight ignored me when I asked for a booster for my 2 year old son THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS not only did it take an hour to get are food after we were seated but are wings came out cold and hard. Don’t bring your children here when it’s busy. the bar is the only this this place is good for save yourselves the trouble if your looking for a restaurant
