Extremely disappointed. I waited for over 15 minutes to place my order. While waiting the people in the line and I noticed that guys behind the counter were taking food out of the to go containers, as not to fill them all the way up. Menu items are pricey so if you buy a pint, the container is not filled all the way. When I placed my order I asked for a lean brisket sandwich, every single slice had a lot of fat left. I also ordered a lentil salad, not only were the lentils not cooked all the way through but I actually got a stone in one of the bites I took. I couldn’t finish it. I got scared of breaking a tooth. It’s upsetting to pay $8 for an 8 oz container that you get it partially filled and then you get a stone???As you pay you get your food. There are no wait staff yet you are expected to tip? Tip for what? To sit in a hot and crowded patio cover where all the tables are dirty? You, the customer gets the food, use the self serve drink dispenser, and you take your stuff to the tables. Why would there be a need to tip? Ooo because they won’t hand you utensils & there are non left out for you to get yourself.Honestly while the food might be tasty and they want to throw an air of gourmet food with their menu item selections, the owners/staff just come across as greedy. $50 for two brisket sandwiches, salty beans, over seasoned under cooked lentils, 4oz corn & 4 oz mac&cheese is too much money for no customer service, zero clean tables, and old building with no ac.
Came here with little line ahead of us before it opened. There's no inside seating which sucks with Texas heat, ribs were alright, personally my standard is that bone should fall off the meat.Brisket was good though, it cut real nice.Overall I enjoyed my experience and the bbq.
Amazing barbecue! We were visiting San Antonio for the weekend and while researching Texas BBQ - 2M Smokehouse came up. The reviews said it was worth the wait so we had to give it a shot. I'm glad we did! We arrived at 10:10am on a Saturday - thinking the line would be long already. We were 3rd in line. By 10:35, the line was pretty long. Once they opened at 11am, it was about 15 minutes to get our food. Staff was super friendly with answering questions and making suggestions. The briskest was so tender and delicious! We got the corn, chicharron macaroni and coleslaw slides - highly recommend all of them. If you want good bbq and you have time, definitely stop by here!
This is the best barbecue I’ve ever had! The meat was so tender and flavorful and the sides were killer to boot! Amazing flavors and service!
Definitely well worth the wait. First time customer & will absolutely be returning. Brisket , ribs were tender. The Mexican corn was good. The macaroni was BUSSING. ? ✌?? pregnant woman speaking FACTS
Pros: Moist brisket was very goodMac and Cheese was delicious, and I like their bbq sauceCons: Thought the beef sausage was very dry.Had to wait 2 hrs in line, got to restaurant at noon. Other meats sold out. Wish I got to try the Barbados.Corn was alright, not great, but not bad.Suggestions for improvement: looked like they had at least 5 employees working, but bottleneck is single the person cutting meat. Could speed up the process and tremendous improve experience if there are 2 cutting boards/ 2 people cutting meat. Waiting 2 hrs puts customers in a bad mood. Could also serve or sell drinks to people in line so wait isn't as bad.Summary: enjoyed the brisket and Mac and cheese but not worth waiting 2 hrs again.
What are you waiting for?! Stop reading this review and go order everything you can from 2M right now! Everything was incredible. The woman at the register was super friendly and patient as it was our first time. We loaded up on food, drink, and merch. 100% worth every penny you'll spend. Each bite was better than the one before. The mix of flavors was next level. Serrano and Oaxaca sausage? Yes! So, again....go get some!
This place is worth the wait in line! The best brisket we've had in a while. The turkey was juicy and tender?? watch out for the side dishes, they are amazing!! The service is very good and friendly, I love this place!! Gotta send the Texas Bucket List Guy! ??❤️❤️
Everything about this place is amazing. The meats were tender and seasoned perfectly and the sides were to die for. Never had better cole slaw in my life. The corn was beyond good. The beans and Mac are a staple and must be tasted as well. The cheese and pepper sausage was just enough spice but the best I’ve had. Pork ribs had meat that fell off the bone and were nice and juicy. I’ve only been in Texas 4 years but of all the places I’ve had BBQ this was by far the best. The owners were also there working and talking to customers and taking pictures with people that saw him in magazines and on TV. All in all the atmosphere was comfortable and friendly and the food was amazing.
Can be quite a wait but like the comments say, it’s definitely worth it. We arrived at 12:30pm where the line was at its peak and got food at 2pm.Ordered in the picture is half pound brisket, a Saturday special beef rib, a beef sausage link, 4oz Mac and cheese and 4oz Mexican street corn, perfect for 2 people. Everything was 10/10.
