It was graduation night and the wait was long. Skipped the line since standing in line for hours is ridiculous. Maybe in Dallas or Houston but many place rush too much when it's that busy and quality suffers. Instead hit the shorter line with the after the lunch line with family. A robust selection of beers with the alcohol content (ABV) and bitterness amount (IBU) posted on big screen TV's scattered about the place. The beer we had was good. Weihenstephan Hefe and Zero One Rhinestone Blonde very good for a Hot Texas Day. The Stueben Corned Beef soaked in their stout - swiss cheese - sauerkraut-rye bread was delicious excellent fries. Other guests said the sweet potato fries were very good too. EZ Turkey Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries with tomato lettuce cheddar and bacon on a sourdough roll was marvelous. Still busy and long tables of family and friends on Saturday afternoon they also had a standard Bar. Local and bottled beer available. We waited about thirty minutes to be seated at lunch. Two long 20+ people were already seated at tables there. So be warned. There were four people were in our party and noted some people got in before us maybe they had called but I didn't see anything about reservations and We ain't from around here.
I have mixed feelings about this place.I went in once for lunch and it was delicious food and great service.I booked a reservation for 8 people for a birthday dinner a few weeks later. The host sat us but then the manager came to tell us we had to sit at two tables outside. We didn’t want to split up and she complained about us changing the reservation without letting them know, but I had updated it a few days prior and was never told that we’d have to sit separately. She did let us stay seated where we were but it was clear she was not happy with us and it put a damper on things for sure.Drinks took 40 minutes to come out. One of my friend’s drinks didn’t arrive until 20 minutes after the others came out. The order had been forgotten. Food came out and the same friend who didn’t get her drink also didn’t get her food, so we all had to wait with our food on our plates in front of us for another 15 minutes for her to get her food. They didn’t offer a discount or a refund for her drink / meal.It was definitely disappointing, especially as all of us are service members and had been told how much San Angelo loves the military. Even though I love the food here, I won’t be back.
Excellent server who was attentive and friendly. We’ve been a few times now and enjoyed all visits. The food is delicious. This time I had the cheese blanket burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and the cheese made it extra yummy. The sweet potato fries were crunchy and the best I’ve had in Angelo so far.My son loves the chips and queso. My husband's fave meal has been the herb roasted chicken.
"TACO TUESDAY and OUR 128th MONTH-I-VERSARY" Tuesday was our "128th Month-i-versary" and we decided to go out to eat and Celebrate. Our choice was 'Zero One Ale House' downtown San Angelo. The Vette-Jet is ready to go and we went - cruising up Sherwood Way enjoying another Beautiful Early Evening with my Baby. We were greeted by the Hostess and shown to a table right at the Windows overlooking the Brewing Process. Our Server is Evelyn and we ordered waters while looking over their Beer Menu being shown on a Big Screen TV on the wall. They do have a lot of Beers to choose from and this is going to take awhile - and it did. My Wife chose their 'Peach Bliss Fruited Sour Ale'; -for anyone interested in trying out a Sour Beer. Lightly Tart & Refreshing with Bright Flavor coming from being Fermented with Pureed Peaches. ABV 5.1% IBU 19. I am going with a 'Paulaner Hefe-Weizen'; German Wheat Beer - a closely kept Paulaner Secret. Evelyn took our Beer order then we looked over the Menu. For my Lovely Wife it was an easy choice. She saw 'Nachos' and she Loves 'Nachos', so 'Nachos' it is. They have 'Pork Nachos'; Pulled Pork, topped with White Queso, Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream, Guacamole with Salsa on the side. I'm going with 'Tacos' because it's also 'Taco Tuesday' and I Love Tacos. Chose 'Tri-Tip Tacos'; Seasoned Tri-Tip Beef Purple Cabbage, White Onion, Cilantro, on Corn Tortillas - served with Mexican Rice. Our Beers arrived and our Food order is placed. We toasted to 'US' and our '128th Month-i-versary' and enjoyed our Beers. My Wife said her 'Peach Bliss' was pretty good and is slightly sour but still has the Peach Flavor, she just wishes it was more Peachy - other than that it's a Pretty Good Beer. Hefes are one of my Most Favorite Beers and this 'Paulaner Hefe' is a Pretty Good Beer. Nice flavor and goes down smooooth. While we waited for our food more people are coming in and the guy behind the Glass is checking the current Beer making process. Zero One Ale has nice decor all around the place and is in Two nicely sized rooms. The large Dining Side where the Glass Wall is and the Bar Side when you first walk in also has tables - overall Zero One Ale is a nicely sized place to enjoy some Cold Beer - and like I said, lots of choices. The Tables make you feel like you're back in the Roaring 20's during Prohibition - nicely done. Our food arrived and my Wife's 'Pork Nachos' are served HOT on a Huge Plate that's really pilled up high with Goodies - it Looks Delicious. My 'Tri-Tip Tacos' have lots of Tri-Tips in each of the Three Tacos and it does look good. My Wife Loved her Nachos and there is a lot on that plate. I also had some and they are Porklyliciousness and the toppings are really good. My Tri-Tip Tacos are flavorful with just the right amount of Cilantro giving it that touch of Spicy but the Tips themselves were not as Tender as I hoped they would be. Also, wish they would of used Two Corn Tortillas instead of One to give it more of that Corn taste. They also became cool real quick, wasn't served Hot and were on a cold plate but the flavor is Good. The Mexican Rice was Very Tender and Flavorful. My Wife didn't eat all of her Nachos and took the rest home. I ate all of my Tacos because that's what I do. Check out 'Zero One Ale House' on Facebook and also On-Line - they have a nice choice of food items and lots of Beer to choose from. We enjoyed our outing and Celebrating our 128th Month-i-versary. Love You Baby, Bunches & NachoMunches.
Zero one is one of the better places to eat in Angelo. It’s one of my favorite places to go. Their service is always outstanding and the food is always fantastic. You get plenty of food for what you pay for and it doesn’t take forever for you to get your meal.Zero one makes their own in house beer, so you can go with the national brands, or you can let your inner self go wild and try some of theirs. The restaurant is well maintained and always looks very clean. The staff is very friendly and outgoing.A couple issues that I have. Now this might now bother some people, but the seats are about as plain as they can be. Just solid wooden seats coated with some sort of coating to make them shine like no tomorrow. My issue is that they are just so plain. No cushion and always cold. Like I said, this might not be a big deal to some, but I just don’t like sitting on a hard, cold seat.Second, and this is the one that drives me crazy, is that when I get my food, the main course is always on top of the sides. I don’t know if they do this to every meal, but the ones that I have ordered they have. For example, if I order the salmon and then green beans and mashed potato’s as the sides, the salmon will come on top of the mash potatoes and green beans. I just find that odd that they would do this. I’ve never been to a restaurant that puts the main coarse on top of the sides, but Zero One sure does. Maybe not a big deal to some, I just find it odd.Overall, Zero One is a great place to eat. Great service, great food, with some great staff and a clean restaurant, just with a little awkwardness to go along with it.
Everything is amazing here. From the beer to the food to the cocktails, these guys do it right. Favorite place in Angelo by far.
I loved this place. The interior was big and beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It was well lit, it wasn't too loud. The food was brought to the table so fast. The server never rushed us to leave. The salsa was amazing. The duck wings were incredible. It was busy but not packed and I was there on a Saturday night.
We chose Zero One Alevhouse for our Department Holiday staff get together. The service was amazing and the food even better. We all had a lovely relaxing meal together...which happens very rarely as nurses. Thank you Zero One!
The bartender/waitress Stacy is perfect! She has her eye on everything, food ,tables ,people, drinks, and is fast and professional. She could run the whole place by herself and if I were her employer, I would pay her a lot more to not lose her. With her skill set, she could be running her own place. You should also have her school the less qualified staff in her seamless way of dealing with everyone.
My husband, daughter and I arrived for a very early dinner (just before 4) and so nobody seemed ready for us. We sat at a bar height table, which was uncomfortable for me, since I have bad knees. However, the deliciousness of the food more than made up for that! Hubby had the Trigiani tip tacos (underpriced at just $11), I had the Blackened Fish Tacos ($15), and my daughter had the ale house turkey sandwich ($12), but we were all very pleased, although I think the tri tip tacos were the big win. We also subbed in the Sweet Potato Fries, which were also delicious, although 2 cokes came to $5.50, which is a little high. The total for all was under $50 however, which is half the price of what we spent for lunch at The Grill, and compares well (just a few bucks cheaper) than Cork & Pig, although I like the atmosphere there a little better. This place seemed cavernous, like you were at the Oktoberfest Beer Garden and just waiting for everybody else to show up. Parking was easy, however, so I would definitely consider going back.
