I ordered the K.C. Steak and i just couldn't bring myself to finish it. I was scraping something off of it. I am pretty sure it was a seasoning but it was grainy.... steak was cooked properly but the seasoning was ehhhh nothing special. The chili looked and tasted like wolf brand chili in a can. No beans. I did really enjoy the nachos beef fajita. Those were great.
Remodeled and great service. Has almost the exact menu as Francos Cafe but much better portions and awesome service and cleanliness compared to Francos. They are definitely the place to go on the Northside!
I honestly didn't like the flavor to the steak. It tasted really different to me. The steak was cooked the way I liked it but the flavor was just off. My waitress was very friendly and kind. I just honestly expected the steak to be very flavorful like some of the reviews I read. Everything else was good. Normal fries baked potato and dessert.
Best steak in San Angelo!Update 5/6/22We went there last night, and like I said up there "Best steak in San Anhelo" however the service is a different story... the host took forever and you could tell it was a huge inconvenience We came in... then clearly hear one of the girls telling the other that "so and so doesn't want a large table, so they're just gonna have to go to so and so section" took a while... finally got seated.. it was inconvenience for the server also. Cherry on top... We watched it happen to another table... the host advised the server I'm fixing to seat you again and the server said something about going outside so the host said I'll keep them up front so... just really unprofessional and huge misunderstanding that customers are not an inconvenience.
We went here for my birthday, easy too find, the service was great, steaks the way we like them. Very good deserts.
Decent enough steakhouse, with a plain, old-school atmosphere -- with the exception of the front bar area which is cute; just wish that continued throughout the restaurant. Service was spot-on; folks were friendly. Prices ranged from reasonable to high, dependent on the entree. Salads were rather spartan, no croutons, no cheese, but the dressings were fine. Some steaks, while seasoned nicely, had sections that were too sponge-y or gristle-y, which is unacceptable for the prices. Sides were generally okay (it's hard to mess up a baked potato), yet the cole slaw was just plain weird, like nothing we'd had before. That said, the fish, both fried and grilled, was delicious. It comes in two portions, and unless you're starving, the small portion is ample. For steak, we'd try another restaurant before returning, but for fish, this was worth it. 3.5 overall, rounding up due to the fish and service.
So disappointed waited for 45 mins went into dinning area which was partial empty heard the owner tell a Hispanic customer they did not do reservations then within 15 min group of ranchers come in and are seated then another group come in and are seated. This went on for 45 min while we waited to be seated. So sad and disappointed that was my first time to go there we did leave and last time for that restaurant. You know I heard the food was great but it was not welcoming.

This was not the best tasting food. No flavor on steak bland,French fries was cold,being several times before and food was okay, this time not so good. The waitress was prompt and helpful.
