The food was excellent. I cannot believe their menu selections, so much to choose from. I try to get something different every time but I'm pretty partial to the ?pizza? . last time I went I had the best wait staff ever, but didn't catch her name. my only complaint is the margaritas are too good.

Came in to the Gin and Granary last night to listen to some music and grab some food. We were told from the get go that they were short staffed but would be well taken care of and were encouraged to enjoy the music. The food took a bit, to be certain, but we expected that from what we were told. What we were not told was how good it would be. It was the bomb! The staff was great and was working their tails off. There was one waitress from what we could tell…..and the bartender. And the place is HUGE! This place deserves to thrive. I hope they can find more staff.

This is not my first trip to the San Angelo area, we planned to bring family to have a steak!! This trip was not good the steaks weren’t cooked enough and my husbands ribeye wasn’t a ribeye. The salad bar was very low on everything!!!!! This was early and one would think that at the beginning of the evening everything would be full and fresh to start the evening shift. I was terribly disappointed in everything. The “farm water” mixed drink was awful. Just not a good meal, service was very slow. I figured for a Friday night it would be packed. I even called to make reservations ahead of time because we drive 3 hours down here. Now I know why the place was empty.

Excellent, sizeable portions & delicious food and drinks! Large salad bar with plenty of variety! Consistent, top quality meals. Local, farm-raised, garden-grown options, with deep roots in West Texas from generations past. The pizza pie is an unexpected menu option, but just as mouthwatering as the juiciest steak! The atmosphere is perfection, too; just what you would expect from a present-day, hometown, steakhouse, with a nod to the past, and for family or date night dining. Can't say enough good about it!

Great place. Worth the wait. Our first time.Definitely would want to go back on another date nite.I had the trio appetizer,, big onion rings, fried mushrooms, and a center cut of bacon.Had 2 whiskey sours...delicious.The air wasn't working very well but they ate working on it

I really don't like giving a negative review. But this was not a good experience. Just could not cook eggs over easy. Wife and I ordered eggs Benedict. Brother and sister-in-law ordered differently and also regretted their ordered. We went through 9 eggs all of them hard, no yoke would have been great for an egg sandwich but this was eggs Benedict with no yoke. Sent back the first attempt then were told they couldn't do the potato cakes so substituted biscuits. Extremely dry with no yoke. The service was very slow, took over an hour and a half. Family was going to take off because they needed to hit road, but we were still waiting for our food. The manager said he would deduct some of the cost considerably, $4 deducted. The place has great atmosphere though it is very loud, no sound dampening. This was father's Day so lots of cackling going on it was difficult to have a discussion at the table without speaking loud to be heard. When leaving I saw one of the pizzas and it looked good so we may try again for the pizza if we are in the area. I try to avoid negative reviews. Maybe things will change when they hire an experienced chef/cook

Friendly service, delicious food. So many menu options! We need to go back so we can try some of the other dishes.

We were the first customers on a Saturday. We were the only ones there until we left yet it took 45 minutes to get our food. My french fries were cold, the mac and cheese was barely warm. My fried catfish was hot but was undercooked in the middle. The overly thick crunchy breading was what was hot. Saw one group come in and after no one came to seat them for 10 minutes they left. The two ladies working the bar, waitressing etc. spent all of their time on their phones. We will not be back.

Terrible food, terrible serviceWalked in, didn’t see any employees for 10 min, finally got seated. Another 15 minutes to have our order taken, found out they were out of half the menu. 25 minutes to get our coffee that was very very weak. Another 20 min after that our food finally comes. Eggs are burnt and dripping with grease. Biscuits were so hard you had to saw them with the knife. French fries were soggy and drenched in salt. Had to ask a few times for napkins, finally got some cocktail napkins given to us. The waitress could only carry one cup at a time, one plate at a time. Will never come back here.

We were seated immediately with reservations. The server was as attentive as possible, he had treme
