I was staying at the Quality Inn and had the complimentary breakfast at Roxie's. The staff were friendly, the decor is charming. 50's pink and blue, counter type dining, Elvis and other pictures on the walls. The local people were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food is hearty and reasonable prices. I would like to go back!
Delicious food and incredibly friendly staff! Roxie herself delivered our breakfasts and she was absolutely delightful. Our toddler highly recommends.the cheese omelette and we recommend pretty much everything else. The potatoes and hash browns were perfectly crunchy and the scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. Highly recommend a stop here if you're in the area!
We went here for lunch based on all the good reviews. This is a nice little diner, but the food isn’t five stars. We shared the Migas: tortilla chips topped with scrambled eggs and served with refried beans and hash browns or home fries. Although the migas was flavorful, at $10, the portion was meager, with little more than two large tortilla chips topped with one scrambled egg. The hash browns weren’t near crispy enough. We also shared a biscuit with sausage gravy. The gravy was good; the biscuit not so much. If I had baked that biscuit at home, I would not have served it. It was so brown on the top and bottom, we had a hard time cutting it with our knife. If biscuits and gravy is your thing, they should be the best thing on the menu.
We just went during an icy morning and the owner Roxie was the only one waitressing. She was amazing you can tell she really cares about her place. The food was awesome. I will always love coming here for the great food and staff!
Roxie’s diner was a hit! The food was hot, tasty and the biscuits didn’t disappoint! The staff were hustling as it was very busy but they were still friendly and kept the coffee cups topped off! Only in Texas can you find strangers talking outside like old friends! Highly recommend if you are in the area!
The food was excellent. I had the steak and eggs with fried potatoes biscuit coffee juice and grits. The steak was huge and great. All of the food was great. Wonderful service. Kept the coffee cup full and every lady that works in there was super nice. The price was great considering all that I had to eat and drink. Will definitely be back and am telling everyone about it. You should try it. You will not be disappointed. Thanks. David Green
Roxie’s is so terrible every time I go. I’ve tried on different days of the week and it’s always the same issue. It’s well over an hour wait for my food and the foods not even good. This most recent visit a party of 4 sat down after my party of 2 and were served before us. Our order was taken directly after theirs and other tables got the got their food before us as well. All we ordered was eggs bacon hash brown and French toast. The hash browns are trash. I’ll never go back and I suggest you save your self two hours of your life waiting for food that’s just ok.
Friendly staff and great prices! Several menu options for breakfast (that is served all day). The large biscuits were so fluffy and soft. Everything was cooked perfect and served hot. The diner isn't very large so had to wait about 30 min. for a table but worth the it.
Ate there today, food was good. The French toast was delicious but the biscuits with sausage and gravy were the best thing we ordered! However, I had to give them a lower rating because we waited an hour if not a little longer for our food.I don’t know if this is normal since it’s a small diner.
Good diner food, but the waitress is super sweet. Family-run restaurant that gives you a true local atmosphere.
