It is an amazing establishment the aviance is amazing the food is great

The food is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and so polite. The atmosphere is very inviting! We'll certainly visit again.

Wonderful food and the staff is wonderful even when they are extremely busy and short handed!

Highly recommend. The service was excellent, the food was fabulous and the Cream Brûlée was to die for!!! We will definitely return again.

Based on reviews and pictures i thought it was going to be better than it was. Rice wasnt even warm, baked seafood was just 1 little piece of redfish some shrimp and a crabcake all overly seasoned with a generic seafood seasoning.Green tomatoes were ok nothing special. Service underwhelming as well.Maybe my wife and I came an off day, but...

After asking friends where to go for a high end restaurant, Peasant Village was recommended by everyone. The restaurant is located in an old house which has been updated to accommodate guests with seating and decorations. I didn't see any parking lot but there is ample street parking near by. Reservations are recommended since seating is limited. The menu is seasonal, so the food is always changing. I ordered the ribeye and my wife got the salmon puff. The server recommended the truffle fries for a side and my wife requested the mashed potatoes. The service was amazing, drinks were being refilled regularly and plates were cleared in a timely manner before the next plate came out. After we finished eating Chef Jason introduced himself and asked if we enjoyed our meal. We ended the evening with key lime pie for dessert. I enjoyed the food and the service and would recommend coming here if you are looking for a high end restaurant in San Angelo.

Chef Jason, Thomas, Mark, Aron and everyone else made my dinner birthday a great experience. The food superb, the service top notch. Thank you for making my celebration so special.

All week, my family and I had enjoyed great dining experiences in San Angelo thanks to trusting Tripadvisor reviews, but they got it wrong with this place. We arrived early yet were seated right by the bar, with a family. So that was already kinda wrong. Then we ordered appetizers. I had the fried green Tomatoes (wanted to try them because I'm not from the south) but they were awful ($8). The breading broke and the taste was not good. My daughter tried the biscuits and honey ($8) and was also disappointed at the texture of the biscuits. My husband's Crawfish Beignets ($12) were good, but the stuff inside didn't appear to be crawfish. Shrimp? He doubled down and went for the crawfish and grits ($20) which was the meal of the night. He loved it, but my Chicken Athena ($18) which I figured was a safe choice, was hard to eat because of all the bones. Had to end up taking it home because I wasn't gonna suck on the bones in the restaurant. My daughter had the Salmon ($20.50) after trying to choose something else they didn't have that day. Waiter seemed ill informed about what was going on in the kitchen. Just about every other place we've eaten in San Angelo, servers made a point to seat one party away from the rest of the diners. Here, that didn't seem to matter. We had people eating at the bar behind our backs, and other people left and right. For those scared of Covid, this would be terrifyingly close to other people. There was another room where a party was eating when we arrived, but we weren't offered that option. It was like they wanted to cram us all together in one tiny room. The subtotal for the meal was almost $90, and with service charge and TX tax, the meal itself without tip was $100. Now for that kind of money I expect good food, and would rather go to the Grill at that price point. Just to make it even more unpleasant, parking was difficult. The lot is small and it's hard to park on the street, especially for those who have a hard time navigating the walkway outside the place. I would never go here again.

Really excellent experience. Best dinner I've had in San Angelo! We got an old fasioned, sirloin, pumpkin butternut squash ravioli, jalapeno mac n cheese, and grits. All excellent dishes, service was amazing, atmosphere was great for a date night. It was pricey, but I've paid more for worse.

Absolutely amazing food, easily the best restaurant in San Angelo. Everytime we eat here it's like visiting family. My favorite restaurant in San Angelo hands down. Great for a date night or just a relaxing dinner. Either way you'll never be disappointed.
