Went in on Tuesday for the first time, my buddy Snuffy took me there. Ate some of the best BBQ I’ve had ever had! Ordered a Poor Boy w/ side of fries. Awesome, awesome food!! 10 stars all around!!
"PACKSADDLELICIOUSNESS" It's Fathers Day Weekend and my Lovely Wife and I were working in the yard. She was taking care of the Front Yard Flower Bed and I was finishing off the Fence - will paint the front of the fence Sunday. It was getting time for Dinner on a Saturday Night and we know where we are going - "Packsaddle Bar-B-Que". We have been there before and Loved what we ordered, met the owner and tried some of his House Made Frozen-Wine-O-Ritas and they were Delicious. The Vette-Jet is all ready to go, nice-n-shiny, and it's a short little cruise from where we live. Packsaddle has three different eating areas for you to choose from and we chose a booth in the middle. Amanda is our Server and we know what we want to drink - if they have them. Their 'Frozen-Wine-O-Ritas', and yes they do. We ordered one for each of us. Amanda went for our drinks as we looked over the menu. Soon she returned and those Frozen-Wine-O-Ritas are really Thick and a Bright Red - slushy style. My Wife and I toasted and sipped those Ritas. These are Very Strong on the Flavoring, Very Cold and Tastyllicious. Don, the owner, knows how to make these Ritas. Packsaddle is pretty busy and when Amanda returned we ordered. My Wife is having their "Texas Toast Melt"; Two Slices of Buttered Texas Toast with Two Slices of Cheese and 1/4 lb of Sliced Brisket (choice) and Pickles & Onions. Served with Chips. I am ordering the "Poor Boy"; Sliced Brisket (choice), Sausage, Pickles, Onions & BBQ Sauce. Served with Chips. (Sausage comes Jalapeno or Regular, I chose Regular). Last time we were here my Wife ordered their "Brisket Plate"; The 1/3 pound of Brisket comes with two sides, chose Cole Slaw & Potato Salad. I ordered "The Saddle" (Frito Pie); Frito Scoops layered with Chopped Brisket & Beans, topped with Cheese, Jalapenos and House Barbeque Sauce with Sour Cream on the side. Let me tell you - we Both Loved It All. The Best Frito-Pie I ever had. While we waited for our food we enjoyed those Frozen-Wine-O-Ritas - these are the Best EVER. I finished off mine and ordered another one just before our food arrived. My Wife's Texas Toast looks really good with Nice Sliced Brisket throughout - add more of their House Made BBQ Sauce and you have something really special. My Poor Boy came on a Hamburger Bun - and the Sliced Brisket and Sausages stick out both ends making it a Really Big Poor Boy - and added more BBQ Sauce and now have a Very Sloppylicious Sandwich. This Poor Boy is some really good stuff with Very Flavorful Brisket and a an Awesome Tastylicious Sausage. This Poor Boy is so Sloppylicious that I used about a dozen napkins and my Fingers are Stickylicious. When that happens you know you just ate something special - and this Poor Boy is just that. My Wife Loved her Texas Toast Melt and ate all of it - and she's not a Big Bread Eater - but hey, it's Texas Toast and Texas Toast RULES. Amanda earned the Dollar-Bow-Tie Award and had a Big Smile on her face. Rachel was also there and came over to chat with us. She was our Server here the first time we came and remembered us. The Service at Packsaddle is Always Tops. They seem to know all their customers personally and take care of them like Family - the Good Side of Family. Surf and turf with green beans and Mac. Fried fish with brisket. Beans and Mac are way better than expected. Fish was excellent and tarter sauce seemed homemade because it was great also. Hush puppies had enough tang to tickle your senses. They were great! Would rate this a 4.6 star. Friendly staff and swift. The reason for not giving a full 5 star is the brisket was not up to par. Brisket seemed a little tough and a little dry. Flavor was ok but their BBQ sauce was quite tasty. Will try again and I do recommend.

One of the best and longest lasting legit BBQ spots in town. Great new management team and great food across the board. The catfish is super good, the turkey is melt in your mouth tender, the house BBQ sauce is addicting! Don, Tracey couple/owners are awesome, pitmaster and 20 year employee vet Jay is a master of his craft. They do spectacular large group catering events also.
It's ok, have been coming here since I was a kid. The quality seems to be lacking. Ordered a small order of onion rings. They were undercooked, greasy and tasted of some type of burnt seasoning. The chopped BBQ sandwich was good. Have payed less for better. Your experience may be better. It may have been a bad day for the cook.

I am so disappointed. I came into the restaurant with my family and there’s no one was there to sit us we had to sit ourselves?!? Our server, Rachel, was not paying attention to us at all! Our food was late and very very cold like it had been sitting for a while. I wouldn’t be surprised if our server, Rachel wasn’t paying attention! We could hear her playing or whatever she was doing in the kitchen! Uncalled for! She seemed very uninterested in us! There was nothing good about this experiences the food was subpar and the service was obnoxious. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!
I usually don’t review restaurants but this needs to be heard. I went in there and got my food it was perfectly fine(the food and server) but the experience was horrific. We saw the two main people i’m guessing the managers or owners take money from the employees!!!My family and I heard the bosses SCREAMING and saying horrible things to the server. I felt horrible. A business cannot run on selfish people i’m sorry. I’m just disappointed.
Every time we have a house full or if we just don't want to cook for a few days, Packsaddle is the answer. Ordering the brisket, the sausage, chopped beef, and whatever else anyone else wants and enough different sides to last for a crew of visitors or for just the two of us for several different meals works. It is all good and we order online and pick it up and every order has been perfect. We have never gotten home and had a mistake. They are great and we will be back.
