I found myself in Texas for the 3rd time this year. I must say I adore San Angelo far more than the big cities. There are tons of food options and Cheddars is among the best. Total experience was great from the amazing waitress to the atmosphere to the delicious dinners. We had the Monte Cristo which has the yummiest jam dipping sauce. I almost wished I ate meat so I could enjoy it too! I had the shrimp and fish - excellent, especially the sauce. Dinner salad and buttery croissants rounded out our yummy meal. Then we topped it off with a jumbo cookie which they were kind enough to provide all the toppings and ice cream on the side to accommodate a dairy allergy.
I should have turned around when I walked in and walked right back out. The hostess didn’t notice me for a while. When she did, she had multiple nose rings in that were not at all pleasant and definitely NOT appetizing. You’re not a bartender, girl. Why is the management allowing that? Okay. So the tone was set.Had to wait 30 minutes for my food and had to say something to get a refill during the wait. Not to my server. He was no where to be found.Presented with the bill 10 minutes ago. Still waiting for my server to grab the cash and give me change.Oh well. At least I had a nice couple to talk with who have the same server and we can share our misery.
I love me some Cheddar's, but there are some things that this location could improve on. The butter croissants are always delicious and I love that you get some for free now. We always get the spinach dip when we come and it's always perfect, but the chips are hit or miss. I would say that 70% of the time they are good and the rest they are stale. My fork was dirty yesterday and had food stuck on it. That was gross. We usually have awesome service. Which is major for me. Customer service is everything. I don't care how good the food is if I go to a restaurant and the service is bad I'll give them one more chance and if it's bad again I won't be back again. I went yesterday for lunch and our waitress was amazing, so I did the little kiosk machine survey and told them.
Went on march 17th. Me and my husband ordered a coke zero.. the waiter asked twice what drinks we ordered. I told the waiter that we could not here him speaking and he would not raise his voice to talk. We ordered cheese and chips that we never received. When we finally got our chicken fried steak supper... the fries tasted stale and they were cold. The chicken fried steak was so oily and the sking was coming off the steak. . We have never just up and left a restaurant like that we ate the bad food from other places bc it was eatable but this was so not eatable. We always recommended this place..well not anymore!!!!
My husband brought me here for my birthday and it was good. The employees are very friendly and polite. Our waitress was friendly she made sure we had everything we needed and for that reason we left her a big tip. The food was amazing. We I'll definitely be coming back.
Hadn't been to San Angelo for a few years and we were happy to see that Cheddars was still there. Food (fries were a little disappointing) and service were great!
Food was good, they had a gluten free menu available which was nice. Server was accommodating. It took quite a while to get the food but overall a nice late lunch!
Really nice place to eat with excellent customer service. Our waitress was amazing! The honey butter croissants were like heaven. I ordered the smokehouse burger but it was pretty underwhelming in taste. It’s a very average tasting burger. I would choose something else instead. My girlfriend ordered the homemade chicken pot pie and she absolutely loved it. Will definitely be going back again!
The servers where extremely nice! We gave one of them a tip for how nice he was, he had amazing manners and he let me and my brother tell him what we wanted!, the food was amazing too, they cooked it very well and it satisfy my cravings for chicken and potatos. They serve the food extremely fast too, if I could I would go back there again
We were in town for the San Angelo University symphonic band concert, which are middle granddaughter was playing in. We asked her where she wanted to eat and she chose Cheddar's! Our waiter was very attentive and he kept our glasses refilled. The food was excellent. We were all happy with her choice!
