Ribs and chop brisket is so good.. Very reasonable price and good customer service..
bland sides… Sweet sauce & cheap sausage…. was craving bbq and this just didn’t cut it. Beans were decent just too much salt. rarely leave a poor review however $70 for 4 sandwiches and a couple desserts I hope* the meat is of good quality and frankly it wasn’t. Pepsi was the best part of the dinner, very clean machine.
The Front Desk Clerk was amazing also one of the cleaning ladies were very hospitable, very helpful ,I was very impressed. Thank y'all. When I go to see my dad I'll be coming back to stay here while I'm in town.
All in all not something to write home about. I ate the combination plate with ribs, sausage, potato salad and beans. There was no flavor to the potato salad, dry dry dry ribs, like crunchy dry. The beans were just bad. The sausage was flavorful and was great. There was no BBQ sauce available for guests and that was just confusing to me to eat at a BBQ place with no sauce. My buddy had combo plate with coleslaw and brisket. Both were very good.
Absolutely NOTHING to write home about here. We are full-time RVers who have eaten BBQ all over the country. Bodacious was recommended by someone we met at a brewery in town. We will both give this a big thumb’s down. I ordered the Bo-tato, because my favorite BBQ joint makes a Pit-tato that comes with choice of meat, cheese, bacon, butter and sour cream on the side, and it is to DIE for. Imagine my surprise when I opened my styrofoam tray and found all the makings for the Pit-tato (except the bacon) parceled out in separate areas of the tray … in other words, I had to unwrap the potato, cut it open, add the toppings and microwave it to melt the cheese … I had to MAKE IT MYSELF. Seriously???? My husband got a 3-meat combo and was seriously surprised by how little of each meat was included in the container. His Mac-and-cheese side was all runny, not nice and cheesy, rather like there was too much milk added. We both proclaimed this meal “nothing to write home about.”
Not a bad little barbecue joint. It seems to be a chain but is run like a local place, with disposable plates and silverware, and a simple menu board. Perfectly serviceable pulled pork, good chopped brisket for a chain, and a very savory smoked sausage. I had the sandwich -- whose name I forget, sadly -- that had chopped smoked sausage and brisket and it was a good combination. The brisket wasn't too greasy and was pretty finely chopped, giving a nice contrast to the diced sausage. Sauces and condiments are all for you to add, too, which is nice. The pickles -- both the dill and sweet -- on the condiment bar were excellent, too! The sauce was fairly middle of the road, trending sweet, with a little red pepper bite.Despite being this far west, they actually had decent sweet tea, too. Service was extremely good, with friendly folks behind the counter. The kitchen is partially open and looks spotless, too.
First time eating the Frito pie. So good. Topped off with coconut pie and banana pudding.
Real Texas bar b q nearby my hotel. It was recommended by the hotel so I had to try it out with my husband.
Too pricey for the amount of food, and quality. It tasted good, but I live in Memphis, and I've become spoiled by high quality, world class barbecue.
Highly recommended by new staff and management at the hotel I was staying at, the Econo Lodge San Angelo, Bodacious Bar B Q is everything they said it was, which was delicious. Just a few minutes drive away from the hotel, which has just been renovated, Bodacious Bar B Q is what good Texas Bar B Q is about.
