Cool Retro feel inside. Only had dinner items, chili burger and chili fries. Chili kind of tasted "soupy" and nothing special about the meat. Unless you love pickles, ask for none, otherwise you'll have 9 to a burger like I did, which isn't good. Onion rings were excellent and they have good ranch, not the cheap stuff. Will come back and try breakfast.
Easy to find, from IH30 take Dalrock Road exit north for Rowlett, Texas, about 3 miles, the red color Diner sits along west side. Plenty of parking, RV's, and towing too! Interior might be busy, benches on the front porch are for our friends willing to wait for their table. Inside, a retro Americana 50's decor, with James Dean, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr and other decor. Front and center is a tall glass desserts cooler, with pies, cakes, and more. Texas Waffle is the shape of Texas, and covers the whole plate. Many types of breakfasts here, including a Greek omelet! Lunch has many American favorites, and a couple of Greek favorites are represented also. You will get full, whichever dish you choose.
Excellent! The food was so delicious. I had the gyro omelet and it was perfection. The gyro meat was mildly seasoned, the eggs fluffy and fresh, and the feta cheese added flavor where I didn't even have to add salt to the eggs. My waffle was fluffy, light, and sweetened just enough. Outstanding meal. I would have given 5 stars but my guest did not enjoy his meal as much since the olives were unexpectedly pitted.Back to my meal, the coffee was excellent, not bitter and the right amount of strong. Additionally they had my sugar free syrup which was a major plus.I would totally visit this place again and recommend giving them a try.

Everything is awesome. Tonight I had their fish n chips special, which was delicious. My dad had the three-meat omelet and loved it. We didn’t bring home dessert like we typically do. We will regret that soon ?
Great service! Wonderful deco and atmosphere . Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Just a delightful woman. Our first time there and definitely wont be our last. What a gem! Oh yeah the food is great too!! Win win.

Meatloaf Monday. Turnips were awesome! I got guilty ordering more crabs so I am happy with my "healthier options" for sides. Others who ordered mashed potatoes and fried okra loved their choices too! Highly recommend this traditional diner. If you are less guilty, try their pies! Very handful looking. Too bad I could not add more guilt to my stomach. Enjoy!
