First time here. I came for lunch the temperature outside was 102 degrees when I walked in. I was blasted with cold A/C what a awesome concept to begin with. The hostess sat me at a tall table by the bar. My waitress Madeline was right there with the menus. I ordered a side salad which is a pretty work of art for a salad almost to pretty to eat. I had the Turkey Pastrami with fries it hit the spot today. I am not big on flavored teas but the Peach Mango blend they serve is pretty good. Looked like they had a pretty good lunch crowd not packed but people coming and going. Will be back

It takes a lot to get a 5-Star Rating nowadays but this place earned it.Last Friday night, we were staying in Garland and wanted to go to some unique locally owned/operated eatery. Bankhead Brewing looked good and we arrived there just before 7 PM.They don't take reservations, it was cold (February) and there was a 45-minute wait. So we waited and so did couple after couple and we eventually got our table and server and from there on the specialty beers, food, and service was great!I asked what customers raved about and ordered the meatloaf which was well-presented and quite filling. My wife took the other recommendation of the chicken-fried-chicken and again, well-presented, tasty and more than filling. They had some great looking specials but we stuck with the customer faves for our first visit. While the desert menu was good, they had an off-the-menu strawberry shortcake that was fantastic!Out the door, I believe that we spent around $75 for two specialty beers, entrees, desert, tax, and 20% tip.I would recommend this place for that somewhat special night out and it appears that quite a few people used this place as a group night out.

Great tasting entrees, made with fresh ingredients and in very ample portions/servings. Plus some great beers from the brewery that you won’t find anywhere else. Highly recommend this fine establishment.

Glad we found this hidden gem! Will definitely be back. Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. The food and drinks were delicious!

Great staff and great food! Will definitely be going back!!

It really saddens me to give such a low review. I fully support local businesses and I'm doing my best to be patient with food and help shortages that are occurring everywhere. We have been ro Bankhead a few times and have always been pleased for the most part. A few months ago our pizza was made wrong due to someone in training and we didn't complain. Unfortunately this last visit on Thursday was horrible. We had family in town and decided to go for an early dinner. Our waitress at first was friendly and all was good. We did get a little concerned when she took our food order and didn't write anything down for the 4 of us but we kept our fingers crossed. Our appetizers were good but the issues started with the main course. My husband got the wrong fries but didn't say anything. My son also got the wrong fries and the ones he got were raw.We couldn't find our waitress so we asked another server to please get the correct fries. In the meantime we began eating and each of us were disappointed in our food. The burgers were very greasy, the truffle fries that my husband did not order were awful and my son's sandwich tasted really off. After all of us ate what we could stomach, my sons fries were still not served. His girlfriend went inside to speak to someone to see what the issue was. Finally our waitress came to the table and asked if we needed anything else. We explained we're still waiting on fries and my son said his sandwich was horrible and handed her the entire plate. Still nothing. After waiting another 10 minutes we asked for the check. We also figured our waitress or a manager would discuss the food quality and missing items. Well our waitress brings the check and the order of missing fries as we're all getting up from the table. No adjustment on the bill, no apologies. This is not an issue with being short staffed, it's an issue with not caring about your customers, lack of proper training, lack of common sense. At a bare minimum, my son's meal should have been removed from the bill. No, I am not the type to look for a handout or complain for the fun of it. Our bill was over $150 and we all went home hungry and upset. With so many restaurants struggling to stay open, Bankhead needs to do a better job at service and food quality consistency.

I really want to love this place! We have been here several times since we moved close this year. The reason why I can't give (5) stars is the inconsistency. It depends who is cooking as what you get. Sometimes it's awesome... Other times the food is a big miss. One time our pizza was extremely undercooked. Another time the salad was missing several ingredients. I realize there is a shortage and some items are missing but please tell your customer or take it off the menu. It's very disappointing when I order something and it's missing items. I would like the opportunity to pick something else before it gets to the table. The beer is great, the service is great, the food is sometimes great!

Great food and great service! The only thing I wish, was for the restaurant to get more tv’s or upgrade them. With the cowboys going to the playoffs especially, the place would be popping with cowboys fans supporting their team and small businesses!Other than that, the place is great!

Pizza is wonderful, burger is awesome. The beers are the best. Service is also good. The owner must love beer and history.

everything was great. the atmosphere, food and drinks.
