Giving 2 stars because food was good and at a good price. Service was some of the worst I have ever received in my 43 years of life. Didn't receive utensils until after the bus boy brought us our meal which was wrong. Needed refills that my son ended up having to drink my water. I asked for the same margarita that my husband had, came in a different glass, it was a different color, it had no salt. The server said they ran out of the proper glasses and hey, there is more alcohol.
Cool little place but on our visit, which happened to be my first, there was only a bartender working, the restaurant was full so service was very slow. However, what I assume was a "bus boy" and another girl jumped in to help. It looked like they worked together and made the visit a little more enjoyable. Kudos to them for working as a team!
Ah, Alcove.. I loved you.. I really, really did...Your workers work SO hard. They are as courteous as they can be, considering how busy they are. (They could be a LITTLE more cordial...)But... your food used to be on point.So... I still commend you for working hard and your service...But the food? Everything has gone downhill. The attention to detail in making the food has gone down... The knife skills are non existent, the guacamole is hot just for the sake of being hot with no nuance...It's just not good food anymore, and that's sad.The place is still hopping... and I may go back for the atmosphere, but the food is just bad at the moment, and I'm sad about that...

Attended a birthday party here last night and they were able to accommodate our large group. It was amazing. The drinks were fabulous the tacos and food were amazing. And what I liked is that the prices were very reasonable and affordable for great quality a great quality service and refreshment.Can you smoke or vape you can step outside easily from the main bar area and get some fresh air. It that when you need to take a little bit of a break from the noise and crowd.I will definitely be back. The tacos were off the hook!!!
i live in Killeen. I had the pleasure of dining and listening to live music. The staff was fabulous, friendly and extremely accommodating. I ordered fajitas for one, same as I did my first visit. Two days later, I am still eating them. The heating lamps worked very, very well to create a warm cozy atmosphere. I left happy, full and tired. I will definitely return. Though the weather was cold, it was worth the drive.
This place rocks!!! We were in Austin on a job and stayed in Round Rock. Deciding to find some fajitas on a Friday night and this place came up. Read the reviews and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Ordered a fajita taco and Spanish rice. Nothing was bland. The bartender, Megan, did an excellent job and was very attentive, despite being slammed. The beef fajita was tender and too easy to wolf down. It may has well have been 2 tacos in one. Did not even notice I scarfed it down. I will be coming back next time I have a job here. Delgado Approved!!!
Visited this place for the first time. Service at the front door was great! They were loud and clear when we got to the back at the patio weren't greeted at all.. Again it was our first time we did not know the process bartenders behind the bar were attending others. In the process of a bartender tending to a table near us he said something that we clearly did not hear as he wasn't clear enough nor near out table. We waited for 20 minutes. Yet nobody Came back to check on us or anything but they kept checking in with other tables. The girl bartender noticed us there yet she looked away thinking I wouldn't notice her starring at us? She had nothing to do not attending any customer yet she proceeded in having a convo with the other bartender. Again they did not bother to check in with us? Finally I asked what we were waiting for they said I had to order at the bar? And that they had told me when we got there. Which we didn't hear at all and neither approached our table nor us directly?! Thank goodness for other restaurants near us who have way better customer service and greeted us in less than 1 min. Thanks the rock sports bar.
Beautiful natural stone walls, great outside area and a second building that is awesome!! 3 complete bar areas. Great place to rent for events!!!Wait staff is friendly. Nachos were large and really good!
