After two poor experiences with the new Jersey Mike's location on University Boulevard, the wifey and I decided to try the Subway store in the Speedy Shop just down the street. I ordered the Footlong Pro Spicy Italian and it was loaded with ingredients, and almost half the cost of a Jersey Mike's. My wife got the footlong Tuna (not the Pro) and hers was loaded as well. Very tasty! We will definitely be coming back to this Subway location. I wanted to leave a tip for the Sandwich Maker but he declined, saying they couldn't accept them. Since I couldn't tip, he gets this very satisfied customer to give the store a nice write-up instead! Well done, Subway!!

Be prepared to stand and wait awhile until someone comes to help you. Used to be 24 hours, when did that stop! Go to Jersey Mikes or Jimmy John’s if you want a good sandwich.

Not sure why I take my time to write a review. I've written others and nothing changes. I just left: walked in, no one on line, the manager is training a new employee who had his mask around his chin. A female employee walked past me without a word. Another female employee, maskless, comes to the counter and picks up what were probably online orders. NO ONE, none of the four, even acknowledged my presence. Not a "hello", not a "we'll be right with you". Nothing. Nada. So I said loudly "Hello, I am here", the trainee glanced at me and said "OK". The turnover is terrible, each time I come in, all new people. Why do I return? It's between my house and HEB which I go to twice a week. But, guess what, a Jersey Mike's is opening up in the new Goodwill shopping area just up the block. Can't wait til it opens because this Subway has a SERIOUS management problem.
