The prices here are moderate, definitely not inexpensive. I ordered the Fish & Chips. The fish (cod) was tasty with a nice light batter. The provided vinegar enhanced the flavor nicely. The fries were terrible. They appeared to be the leftover scraps from the bottom of the fryer. They were small, over-cooked, one inch pieces. My wife had the Arctic Char fish which she enjoyed, however the accompanied rice was an under-cooked chewy, flavorless mess. Properly cooked rice is meant to be tender and fluffy which this was not. The Brocollini was too tough to cut with a knife and too tough to chew. Those two items were a waste as they were not able to be eaten. Those working in the kitchen need lessons on how to properly cook the side items. Needless to say there are better options and therefore we will not return.

Really enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. So glad we made a reservation since it was a very busy night. Their fish and chips are very good. I was also impressed with the pot sticker appetizer which my son devoured. It is kid friendly and they give kids gold fish and crayon and paper to color. Great service. Everyone so attentive. If I come back to this area, I would definitely go back.

My go to seafood place! They never disappoint, and the price is lower that of other comparable restaurants in town. Flavors are much better, too, with a variety of cooking styles. I would choose this place over Clarks (too salty food, crowded, and expensive) any day.

The Round Rock Salt Traders Restaurant Is A Beautifully Designed Interior. Seating Is Ample & Comfortable Booths. Happy Hour Is 3:30-6pm Monday Thru Friday Where All Starters Are Half Price. There Are Daily Drink Specials, Also For Oysters, Fish & Seafood During This Time. Monday Happy Hour Is All Day. We Requested No Seasoning On The Fish In The Enchiladas As The Sauce Has The Perfect Flavor On Its Own. The Rice Is A Ten, So Good. The Enchiladas Can Easily Be Prepared With Cheese Or A Veggie. This Restaurant Will Work With You For Dietary Needs. The Guacamole Can Be Prepared To Order. We Do Not Consume Additional Salt As Much As Possible As Clean Foods Taste Better. We Experienced Great Service & The Food Was Very Good.

I was able to get a table right away despite being peak hours for the restaurant. The restaurant has a very lovely atmosphere. I came to this restaurant about a year ago and it hasn't changed much, the food and one are still great and depending on where you were seated you might get an overhead view of the town. The white wine was great, it is a Spanish wine I recommend you try a glass. If I would salmon was also very delectable, the gumbo was very good; try a cup. For next time I should try their oysters and see how those measure up.

Whether you drink or not, this place is amazing for its bar snacks. The fried oysters, snapper collar, ceviche, and hushpuppies are more than enough to make most seafood lovers very happy. They've also got some really great desserts and main dishes, but I go for the bar snacks.

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to and if I could, I would give them a 10 out of 5 stars! The atmosphere, the service, the food... everything! If you're thinking about eating anywhere else... don't. It's really that simple

Texas Gulf Coast cooking brought to central Texas, plus fish and oysters sourced nationwide. It is very consistent. Great for special occasions and a break from the ordinary.

Visiting from Arizona, we're staying at a hotel right next door. The service, atmosphere, food and drinks were delightful! We ordered the poke guacamole dip, gumbo, shrimp and lobster roll, fresh squeezed lemonade and a glass of red wine.

So I wanted to take my wife for crab legs last night and Google brought up Salt Trader's. It wasn't too far from the house so we went for it. The ambience was nice and had a laid back atmosphere. When we received the menu my wife and I were sort of lost. However, our hostess explained the menu and options available. We started off with 2 bowls of Gumbo and Fried Calamari (both were tasty). Then we order some Fried oyster lettuce wraps (didn't too much care for those). I also ordered the Mac n Cheese with crab not too bad (wish I had hot sauce though lol). The last thing that was wonderful about Salt Traders was the hot towel they give you before you leave to wipe your hands, my wife and I haven't been to any establishment with that feature before. If you are looking for a chill place to take someone for the first time not a bad establishment to take them to. If you don't have a clue what to order like myself, stay safe and stick to the appetizers.
