I haven't been to Pei Wei in a long time. I happened to be nearby today, so I ran inside. The staff was slow and unpleasant. I asked questions about some of the dishes and the girl had no clue about the menu. It took a very long time to get the food, even though was not busy in there at all at 3 pm. Food was definitely lacking. Very small portions and dry, the beef was so dry and small it was almost inedible. Paid an upcharge for fried rice, but I got white rice instead. I would not go back again. Disappointing experience.
The generals chicken, and the egg rolls were delicious. Kai was friendly, attentive, and professional. All the staff I dealt with were great. They kept the place clean even though some rude costumers were dropping their fortune cookies all over the floor. I work only a few minutes away and I will definitely be coming back here on my lunch breaks.
We have eaten at many different Pei Wei’s and this is not my favorite. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. The food was….not the best we have had. I usually order the Kung Pao shrimp but they were out of shrimp. Bummer. I ordered the entree with chicken instead. It was ok. We also ordered Korean BBQ steak. It just was not that good. We were so sad because we love to visit Pei Wei whenever we are in town. I would probably not return to this location.
Did carry-out for the first time in our first visit to this specific location. We were told that it would be close to a 25-minute wait (they appeared to be short-staffed). Cashier was a new guy who was not yet real familiar with the operation, but he was friendly, and at least he asked questions of his co-workers when he did not know the answer. Food was good, but I don't think we'll do carry-out again. Also, the got the food to us faster than they said they would.
What happened? I work nearby and used to order food from here, but man what a dump. It looks like a rural Texas Dairy Queen that gave up on decorating. Ordered 3 entrees for $50. Came out in like 3 minutes in a small plastic container. Zero presentation, with 1/2 cup of rice, luckily I’m on a diet! Plus side: the food tasted decent, and I had a nice hole in the booth for my balls to rest in. Stick to take out and keep the dining room closed if you don’t care.
Normally I love Pei Wei, and I'm not a stupidly picky customer, but dude. I ordered a thing of dan dan noodles with extra chicken & sauce. This thing is loaded wirh chicken and doesnt have any sauce at all as far as I can tell. Its just flavorless oily noodles with tons of chicken that just tastes...wrong. It was a $60+ delivery order. What the hell?
Tried out the new spicy Korean bbq meal. Was very good. Maybe a little too heavy on the sauce but overall very pleased with the meal.
First time at this location and this chain in general and the customer service was standard, food came out awfully fast, it was drenched in sauce, and tasted frozen. Portion size was very small as if they were rationing food. Horrible food for the $35 my wife and I spent. Won't be going back.
I hate giving bad reviews but my overall experience was pretty bad. For starters they had workers painting during business hours. And not to mention painting quite close to the kitchen. They were about to close but looks like they had been painting all day. Just not a great thing to see when you’re grabbing food. My meal was pretty good, well the chicken was.
They tried to feed me Eggroles that were cold in the center. The PeiWei brand used to be really good. Not anymore. Honestly a hole in the wall Chinese Food place has better quality than this place.
