This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants to dine at. Food is delicious and service is wonderful. Review by Gabriel Culiat
This is now my wife's favourite Italian / pasta place in the Greater Austin area.Wonderful choice of pastas & sauces, with limitless combinations.Their calzone was amazing (& huge).
We drove from the College Station area to Round Rock to eat at this fabulous restaurant. We saw it on The Texas Bucket List. It was well worth the drive. The pasta was melt in your mouth and you could tell it was homemade. Everyone at the table got something different and we had a tasting feast and even took a couple of to go dishes for the next day. Sauces are the best! Service was great. Already making plans to go back and going to bring friends.
We came here because we saw the restaurant on the TV show Texas Bucket list. We live up near Oklahoma and made plans to come here when returning on a visit down South. Saw the reviews on this website. (These are for real?) One host and one waiter. We saw big table in the back already set up, so they knew about this party for lunch.. Cant use the excuse when you get bad or no service that its a surprise. Not listening. Over 40 minutes for dishes to come to table. My wifes dish was fine and a decent portion. I ordered pasta carbonara. It was about 1/2 cup of spaghetti swimming in sauce. These two dishes with a soft drink with tax was over $40. RIP OFF. My fault, dont believe what you see on TV or what you read. NONSENSE!
In my humble opinion, the portion is definitely considered small in Texas for the price. But, considering the pasta and sauces are all made in house and made to order with plenty of customizations, it seems acceptable. The spaghetti was super bouncy. But, the meatballs weren’t incorporated into and simmered with the sauce, so it seemed like a separate dish from the pasta. On the other hand, the chicken appears to be incorporated with the sauce on a different level. I wish there were some more protein/meat options available for customizations. Overall, great experience with flavorful food.
If you've never had fresh pasta, you need to try Palermo Pasta House. My wife and I saw this gem on Texas Bucket List, and we knew we had to try it. We live less than 5 miles away.We showed up a little early for the fresh pasta, so we ordered a nice bottle of Malbec, a salad, cheese-olive-salami small plate and an appetizer, meatballs in the Marsala Mushroom Sauce. It was incredible. We also enjoyed some rolls with some balsamic and olive oil. Finally, we made it to 5 pm and the pasta was available. My wife ordered the Arrabiata over Fettuccine. I ordered the Ragu Bolognese over Taglierimi.First, there is a big difference between freshly prepared pasta and store purchased pasta. We knew from the appetizer that the sauces would be well worth the visit and they did not disappoint.Wrapping up dinner. I decided to order a pizza to go. Now, they talk thin crust on the menu, but its not the traditional thin crust you would get at an Italian restaurant. I love comparing the pizzas to Pregos Pasta House on Greenville Avenue in Dallas. That is truly thin crust. The pizzas at Palermo are not really thin. They are typical regular crust pizzas. I reheated the pizza today and I must say, the flavor makes up for the thicker than thin crust issue. Great flavor. If they had the extra thin light crust it would have been perfect by my standards. My wife also wanted a canoli. When she ordered she said cannelloni, so of course we were surprised when another pasta dish arrived. That was our mistake, so we asked to also make that to go and we ordered the canoli. Ir too was delicious.Wonderful service, great food good wine list, and understanding staff. You must put Palermo Pasta House on your bucket list.
By far the best pasta I have ever eaten. Great service, amazing food. Prepare to wait but totally worth it!
I am not one to post reviews but after after spending nearly $60 on Lasagna, chicken Alfredo, and two cannolis and it be absolutely disgusting I felt it a review was needed. Management really need to step up their game. God for bid Gordon Ramsay come and pay you a visit. Maybe if he did then you could get away with charging Gordon Ramsey pricing. Next time I’ll be going to Fazoli’s …. What a disappointment PPH
This place is a 10/10. Went for lunch and their lunch special is great! Highly satisfied and can't wait to be back. Staff was great!
At one time I could order online and pick up or have a delivery. However, recently Palermo has decided to eliminate delivery online and make one call 512-369-3952 for pick up which of course no one answers and the mail box is full.
