The food was okay and the kitchen seemed to be out of a lot of stuff. When my family member ordered a salad on the side they just gave her fries and said they didn't have salad. They should've asked her what she wanted as a replacement. The crab cakes are very good but there is only 2 of them. Overall it was a tad bit disappointing but still worth a try.

Sooooo goood. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We visited this restaurant to try oysters. And we weren't disappointed! Extremely fresh, great size (if you know you know).I think it’s one of the bed place with oysters in Austin!Cute and nice salon! Huge bar area. Also they have some sits outside! Love it.Or server was super nice and helpful. Thank you for that! Will be back to raid the rest of the menu!

This is a very chill non fancy place.Oysters were great, they seemed fresh.Server was overwhelmed but still did a great job.Oysters came out extremely fast.We will definitely be back.

First time at this restaurant. Not a bad experience but the gumbo was lukewarm and a bit salty. The fried shrimp was very bland and had a freezer taste to them. The hush puppies were very good but tiny. The fried catfish was good but a little bland as well. All in all, it was good but if you are Cajun like me and expect the seasonings to be there, this may not meet your expectations.

Okay, y'all! You've got to know this - Pacific Star has THE BEST FRIED FISH. EVER!!! Seriously, they knocked it out of the park with the fried fish! Anytime anyone suggests seafood/fish for dinner - I request Pacific Star! I usually get the "one fillet" dinner - and it's always more than enough, although, sometimes I wish I would've ordered two just so I'd have more. You've GOT TO TRY IT!!!

The food was good. A bit heavy on the butter but other than that not bad. I had the stuffed catfish with rice . I like that the rice shrimp

It took nearly 20 minutes to be acknowledged after walking in and asking if we just seat ourselves. We were not greeted at all. The oysters were a laughable pathetic overpriced platter of nickel/quarter size 'oysters' thrown on a tray! The crawfish is very mediocre in flavor and taste like siracha and maybe water with garlic, the size does matter, and these were super small! They don't have alcohol!!! Don't waste your money! $74 for 2 lbs crawfish, flounder platter, and a dozen oysters. You will be disappointed just like me. Maybe they hit the mark on fried food.

Went for lunch on Sunday and we will never go back. They let my plate of crawfish sit out on the counter while serving others at the bar. I literally watched as plates of crawfish went out to customers at the bar and mine sat there for several minutes. When the waitress brought them they were cold so I sent them back. She brought out a fresh plate but they were flavorless, smothered in Tabasco to make up for the lack of boil seasoning. The crab cakes were awful- obviously frozen and not made in house, they were super mushy. My gumbo had several shrimp shells in it and was not good. My boyfriend ordered the blackened flounder, which was not blackened whatsoever. The only good thing about the meal was that the beer was cold. We wanted draft Dos Equis, which we were told they ran out of due to the storm (makes sense and understandable) but then we saw bottles of Dos Equis going out to other customers. I would have gladly taken a bottled Dos Equis over the draft miller lite I had but I guess that wasn’t offered to us. All in all a horrible experience! I’ve seen good reviews for the oysters so maybe it’s a place for just oysters and beer… but I would steer clear of everything else.

If you don't mind everything made from frozen, this place is for you. The Gumbo definitely is not the best around, the garlic bread came out of a frozen box and microwaved, the garlic rice with shrimp is Rice-A-Roni with pieces of shrimp mixed with it, the "broiled" blackened catfish was mush, so obviously it was frozen as well. Not really worth the $25.00 that my bill came to.. I do have to say, the iced tea is great though.

They do oysters. I love seafood. I can deal with ok service as long as its good seafood. For seafood places. I like it .... my last visit. I saw the waiters cater to regulars. She chalked up to a lousy tipper. I spent 87 and tipped $18. 3 of us. However the regulars got very good service me almost went to long john silvers for so greasy catfish next door
