Excellent service and food is always fresh. I will definitely come back
LJS is fish"s version of fast food. Had a really bad LJS experience at the Elgin, TX store. But the Round Rock store, as always came thru. Avoid the Elgin store at all costThey were terrible as was the food. But the Round Rock store is worth be the extra mile my.
They got everything wrong! The batter has a old freezer or old oil taste, it was disgusting! The oil temperature is definitely wrong as well because it’s too oily. I can not taste the fish itself, it was probably not a good quality meat and it was covered by the oily taste.
Old standard. Food isn't quite as good as it used to be years ago before it was bought by the current owner. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. Food was good and plentyful.
The location in Elgin, TX would not take coupon shown on phone even with fine print stating to present to cashier. They requested a paper printout. Went to the location in Round Rock, Tx with no issue at all. The 5 stars is for Round Rock. Thanks for being in the current age and paper free.
Two pieces of fish were overcooked and tasted like old oil was used to fry. Mac and cheese was runny and had very little cheese in it. What happened to this location, we have eaten there numerous times and was always satisfied. We were there at lunch time on a Saturday and no one else was in the restaurant, not a good sign
I love the super crispy, fried fish.Every so often I get a craving for that item. So that's what I do.I treat myself to LJS.BUT, I wish they would do something about the lack of "curb appeal." That location has been there for as long as I can remember...and it looks it!A little power washing, fresh paint and weeding amongsth the decorative stone would go a long way to attract new customers. But meanwhile, until that happens, I guess I'll just have close my eyes and open my mouth! LOL
They do a good job. It’s fast and tasty. I’ve always had a good experience with this location.
Hush puppies were crispy and soft inside. The fish fry was just as I remembered it from my childhood. It's not gourmet but if you grew up eating LJS then this won't disappoint. I hope this place continues to survive so I can feed my guilty pleasure and nostalgia from my childhood.
The food was good. We had the 8 piece family and his family and we did chicken planks and fish, with hush puppies we didn't get our crunches that we asked for and the girl that was packing our order had a really nasty attitude, and when she was told that I wanted tartar sauce she reached over and grabbed a whole lot more than I needed and threw it in the bag with attitude. Then she proceeded to to almost throw it at me so I don't know if I'll be back.
