My first time visiting Lamppost Coffee. I was not disappointed! The iced coffee was good, the service good and she was very informative about the coffee. The inside is a cool vibe with plenty of space. I’ll be back for sure!
My favorite latte in Austin. I always order a lamba latte with 1/4 syrup and oat milk. Iced is just as good as hot.Really cute & clean inside! I love the large windows and natural light.
Nice workers, variety of items on the menu, quickly got our drinks
Great coffee and a nice place to sit and talk with friends. They could up their game when in comes to baked goods, but overall everything was nice.
Always delicious! You must try this drink - the Peach Melba tea with lavender lemonade!! So good!
I was a fan of Star Coffee before they were even in this location. I loved the dive-y feel of the place with the worn out furniture and tables that didn't ever seem to sit straight no matter how you angled them. My heart was sad to hear that they were closing.I was hesitant to go back, knowing like everything else that has changed in Austin over the last 10-20 years, things are never the same (no more Unplugged at Shady Grove, and Antone's isn't the same, etc). The list can go on and on about how things used to be. But change can be good, and you can either fight it, or you can raise a cup 'o joe and relax in this friendly spot. No, it's not Star Coffee, but it's not trying to be.I gave them 5 Stars because, you know what, we're all just trying to make it out there. I appreciate having a spot to work where the coffee is good and the staff is friendly. PS - my go to is a vanilla oat milk latte and a monkey bread muffin. I'm not sure what they're really called, but it's delicious If you ever see me there, stop and say hi and maybe I'll treat you to one!
The staff here are friendly and love suggesting drink ideas if you’re not sure what to get. Everything I’ve ever had here has tasted great, but I’d agree with other reviews that the vibe is a little bleak. It’s a nice quiet place to work or catch up with a friend, but it’s not necessarily the cozy coffee shop you’d like it to be.
I always goto the one on Main Street, and the cats y'all got working there are too cool. Mad Love to Y'all.
One of the employees was not wearing a mask and there was no signage about mask requirements, so I was slightly uncomfortable being inside, but it would’ve been ok if this has been the in-and-out experience I was expecting. There were only 3 ahead of me, yet it took over 15 minutes to make my lattes and people who came in after me received their items before I did. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but damn it was really slow service. I could overlook all of that if the drink was better, but their chai has like a gingerbready flavor that I didn’t really enjoy. I’ll stick with Mi Mundi.
Nice location to grab coffee and get some work done or to meet someone to have a conversation.
