Tried Hooters again after a long break. Food seems to be back to where it was when they first came to Austin (it was really bad for a while) and, when you can get service the girls are nice and attentive. Unfortunately, they are way understaffed and getting service is hit or miss. I waited at the hostess stand today for twenty minutes, had all three of the waitresses walk past me several times each. Only one of them spoke to me and that was in passing. The other two appeared to be intentionally avoiding even looking at me. Bartender was taking care of the few people at her bar and not much else. Never saw a manager on the floor, maybe they were busy helping in the kitchen. Who knows…Ended up leaving rather than continue to be ignored. Might try again sometime, probably not…
Waitress did not do her job very well...we had to find her to get refills and the check.As for the food, my wife's order was not done as requested. An item had to be sent back.On the flip side, after talking to the manager, he gave us a discount. He told us he would talk to her about improving.Don't think I'll be going back to this location.
Absolutely poor service I just received 4/21/2022 @ ~7:05pm and I only got to-go. I walked through the to-go door and went to the counter. Something I've done in the past. A server walks past me, as does a cook. He asks her, "You got it," she says yes. Then she proceeds to not even speak nor acknowledge me and goes to the register right in front of me. She turns her back away from me and is typing. I stand there for a few mins and start looking around for someone else. No one is there so I ask her for help, she curtly says," You need to go up to the front." I explained I wished I would have known/she told me. She says, "I didn't know you need help." I calmly say, "You didn't ask." I then turn away and walk to the front. I then stand there for a few minutes. Watching as servers pass me. The last server sees me looking around and asks me if I need help. I tell her I'm just trying to pick up my food. She immediately apologizes and takes my card and grabs the food. While she's doing that, the hostess finally appears, after speaking with the first server at the to-go counter and looks at me. She says, "How can I help you?" I tell her, I'm being helped. She then says, "Well what did you need??" Pressing forward. I continue to tell her someone else is helping me. After the third time she raises her voice, at this point the bar is looking at us, and says "I'm just trying to help you! WHAT DO YOU NEED?" I again say the same thing. As this is happening the server with my order is walking up trying to get me to sign. The other girl yells and runs off. The server with my food completely apologizes and says she will tell the manager. She was very kind and I could tell she was just trying to help. The other lady, I'm not sure what happened but that is the worst service I've ever received, and it was to-go! Absolutely appalled.
The wings were very tender and perfectly cooked and my 2 Margaritas on the rocks also very refreshing. Erin was very friendly and prompt. I’ll be back soon.
This is a public service announcement. Please...whatever you do, do not eat here. I'm a subcontracted worker, and went there for a service call. While around back,there was, what seemed to be wet, nasty food outside the door, but the filth didn't stop there. The kit hen was so disgusting. There were water leaks, floor covered in water, mud, and residual food all over the place, and it wad just as they were opening, meaning it was that way over night. Absolutely disgusting. I highly advise anyone thinking about going there to reconsider, I guarantee you'll get sick. Uggg?
Typical Hooters, the scenery was great but the food was mediocre as usual. I ordered the fish and chips and the amount of breading that was on it was ridiculous. It's been a while since I've ate at a Hooters and it will be a while before I step into another
