A family owned restaurant that makes you feel like homeAmazing flavor in hearty portions that will definitely makes you feel delighted and satisfiedTry the Pollo Florentine, without a doubt one of their best plates in my opinion, you won’t regret it!
We celebrated our son’s graduation from The University of Texas at Gino’s. Our families have a long history with the Minardi’s and they rolled out the red carpet and we had a great time. The service and food was perfect and we left stuffed. There is nothing like being treated like family. If your in the area, you have to stop in and enjoy the family atmosphere and feeling you get when you dine with Gino’s Italian.
My wife and I stopped by for dinner after an early movie. The food was good--my wife had the chicken parm while I had the snapper in the lemon wine sauce w shrooms and what not. The atmosphere is definitely old school, as in a throwback to 80s families relaxed and chilling over supper, and none of the dishes will break the bank. The wine list could use an update--if there was ever a reason to go all Italian then Gino's has the reason--even keeping the same price points, they could do better, and a thought to stock a few bottles higher in price might help some of us that look to Italian food the way we look to steakhouse, expecting a small nox to vino tinto and the rest. Service was a little slow, bit it was busy and the whole industry is dying to find labor so not a big deal. The food carries this place so if you're hungry and want Italianin Round Rock, look no further.
This restaurant is a well oiled machine. With a small town vibe the waitress Liddy was super attentive, very quick and friendly. This made our wait totally worth it. You can really taste the freshness. The alfredo is made in house daily and doesn't taste like it's swimming in oil and salt. The portions are generous and the price was fair. Being the first time here they definitely made an impression on us!! Thank you Liddy for the great service and friendly smile.
We went to Gino's on a date night. Loved the food so so much. Try the fried mushrooms please. Absolutely crispy outside and JUICY inside. Lobster ravioli was bomb. The chocolate cake stole the show. It's a cute little Italian spot. Only concern is that the tables placed too close to each other and it felt too crowded. May be I'd have enjoyed more of I went with friends and not on a date when I was expecting some quiet bonding time and dinner. But the food and service was so worth it.
Yum! Everything was great, pizza, ravioli, canniloni, meatballs...also service was perfect. My only complaint is that the desserts we got to go were very small portions. I'll be back to try more.Update: 2/25/22I didn't feel like cooking tonight so my husband decided to take us out for Italian food. We remembered Gino's! We were greeted like family, sat quickly and had the best service. Marianne (?) had a great personality and was engaging and kind. She recommended a dish that my husband ended up dreaming about later lol. We got desserts to-go and they were bigger portions than before, so we were all happy. We will be back!
This restaurant literally feels like home, from walking in hungry to walking out fed.Everyone inside is beyond friendly. Visited with a group of 15; even with the number of heads the staff was extremely accommodating and kept everyone satisfied the entire time.Food tasted so freaking fresh and the plates were huge!!!Large wine selection. Small walk in foyer to wait in, very busy section if you have to wait to be seated but well worth it.Bathrooms are clean and spacious.Sanitizer at entrance!
I was playing poker at The Lodge and people kept raving about Gino's so I decided to give it a try. The bread they bring out with oil was amazing. I ordered Shrimp Scampi Ravioli as well which I thoroughly enjoyed, my server recommended some wine to go with it and overall the service was phenomenal. This restaurant checks all the boxes and when in the area I will certainly be going back again.
This place was awesome! Best Italian food I’ve had since we moved to the area! Lots of dishes to choose from, we’ll definitely be back to try more! Wait staff was very friendly and attentive Sue was great and helped me choose my first dish… delicious… I had the shrimp ravioli and the sauce was so flavorful! My husband’s spaghetti and meatballs were delicious as well!
