We’ve been meaning to try this place and I’m so glad we finally did! The sandwhich was hot and fresh! It was so packed and delicious! It had a nice crisp, better than the ones I’ve had in Florida! The guava and cheese pastry was so good and flakey! Wonderful service!
This place has amazing food. I don’t know what the not so nice reviews are about. I have Cuban family & grew up eating Cuban food. Pastries included. I love the food here. This place is so good. It’s definitely a hidden gem in round rock.
My “street cred” is that I grew up in Miami, stopping by any and many Cuban bakeries to have some pastelitos and a colada for breakfast before school almost every day. Every party had a tray of the small bocaditos, a tray of congrí and some pork or some ropa vieja. I’m also Cuban on my dad’s side. I ordered una empanada de pollo, una de carne, y un pastelito de guayaba y queso. They were all ‘okay’. The pastelito could have definitely benefited from a lot more filling, took two bites to finish the filling and be left with a large boomerang of puff pastry. The empanada had a great crunch but both the beef and chicken fillings were small (leaving you with the same boomerang effect) and a bit bland for a Cuban bakery. The display cases should be a lot warmer for the pastelitos and empanadas to keep everything as fresh and warm as possible. The cooler display with desserts needs better lighting and should be presented better as well. The store could definitely use some more spice. I’m a bit shocked for a Cuban bakery to be so bland all around. Obviously I dont’t expect it to be exactly like Miami but some effort would definitely help. Some Cuban music playing in the background, some “Tropicana” style decor with tasteful palmera and dark wood decor and more SABOR could take this place further than it is now. Not cheaply but with style and class that pay homage to the Cuban way. Just some suggestions from a cubanita missing home.My search continues through Austin as I attempt to locate a Cuban bakery or restaurant that can mirror or be close to the feel and flavors of home.
Very friendly service, and everything is delicious. They also have the best bread pudding in all of Texas! Their empanadas are amazing, and their Cuban sandwiches too. I haven't tried anything that I didn't like so far.
I don't understand why everybody giving them a one star or 2 star or no star and complaining about this place I've been coming to this place for 4 years now and they are the best Cuban restaurant I have here in the state of Texas yes of course we cannot compare them to the restaurants in Miami or even in New York So to me they are a 5 star on everything they do and they personality is also fantastic thank you for everything go here you going to love it
Hi, Cuban here.. from Miami. Not a single thing on the menu is authentic. They just slapped Cuban names on it, and called it a day. Sandwiches are awful.. and lacking just about everything. If I was rating it as a regular bakery, they'd get 2/5 stars.. but as a Cuban bakery?? I'd give it a 0. Go find yourself a Pinecrest Bakery in Miami, and try some authentic Cuban sandwiches.

Omg this place was amazing! Loved the quesitos, croquetas and sandwiches. The lady in the front was incredibly friendly which I enjoyed. The atmosphere was a breath of fresh air! Highly recommended
Honestly, I don't understand some of these reviews. This place is a gem. The croquettas are on point, taste just as good as the ones from Vicky's in Miami. And the sandwiches take me back to the corner cafeteria back in Miami. I love this place and drive 40 mins just to get there food.
Outstanding and very authentic Cuban bakery. I had a media noche sandwich with freshly baked semi-sweet bread (similar to Hawaiian bread), ham, pork, swiss cheese, toasted on a press. Easily one of the best I’ve had. The ham croqueta was also excellent, outside crisp fried exactly right with authentic Cuban flavor. As good as Versalles restaurant in Miami, arguably the most famous place in the US for that. The quesito was epic; crisp with a touch of sugar outside and flavorful soft inside. Freshly made at 2pm on a Sunday outside of rush hour which indicates attention to quality through out the day. Friendly, wonderful service. I highly recommend it!
