I was greeted very friendly in the to go order side of the restaurant. My order was taken quickly and sent to the kitchen. I watched a steady flow of to go orders came out of the kitchen as I waited.During Lent this is a big to go place for catfish--big pieces, well breaded, great texture, good flavor.Today I got a BLT with a side salad, and fried mushrooms. First, let's discuss the salad. It's pretty sad looking. But they add cucumbers to it, which is a nice touch.As for the sandwich, I was disappointed that it wasn't cut. It also had nasty tasting spread on it. The menu may disclose that, but I saw the sandwich listed online and it simply said mayo. This was not mayo.The bread is nice and thick, heavily buttered and toasted. I was excited about this--at first. But the bread tasted slightly sweet. And it was so greasy in my hands.The combination of the nasty spread and the sweet bread made this sandwich a loss.I appreciate the mound of bacon that came on it and the fresh tomatoes though. I'm going to make my own sandwich with sandwich bread.The fried mushrooms were terrific! The batter enveloped each mushroom and tasted tremendous! I wish I knew what it was seasoned with. Home run!The service, the fish, the mushrooms, and the cucumbers push this rating to 4?.
My husband decided to order chicken fried steak for each of us for his birthday. We didn’t want to get out because we have been working around the house. It was delivered in a timely manner but the quality of the food was horrible. The chicken fried steak was burned so it was tough and hard. The fried okra was so greasy you couldn’t eat it. Nothing except the rolls and broccoli cheese casserole was edible. I called and spoke to someone that said he was one of the managers and was told that “ it’s hard to find good chicken fried steak anywhere” the manager said that! So we spent $35 for 2 meals ( that price doesn’t include delivery and tip charge, we spent a total of over $50) that weren’t even edible. No resolution except he told me that I could call grub hub and see if I could get a refund. This restaurant has been going down hill. Do yourself a favor and don’t go there. We stopped getting their food a while back because they had messed up our order on 2 occasions. We thought, give it another shot since it has been a while but here we are reminded of why we stopped. My husband said that this is definitely the worst food he has ever been served.
We split the chicken fried brisket with Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. It was quite tasty. The cup of chicken noodle soup was very comforting and tasted homemade. They freshly brewed me a cup of coffee at noon on a weekday, which was really nice of them. The tomato soup was good too. Yum!
The food was good. My girlfriend enjoyed the chicken fried steak and enjoyed it. I tried the chicken fried brisket. It was different but it was good. The restaurant seemed short staff. There was only 3 people waiting on the tables. With so few waiters it took time to get your table and your food. Our waiter was polite and friendly. He was also bussing the tables. Our food was hot and the waiter apologized for the delay. So beware the service may be slow. Be prepared to be patient.
Our food was delicious and our server, Mia was excellent. They were a little short staffed but everyone was working hard to serve CPC customers. We will be back!
I've had food from here before and it was much better the first time, but not bad. The server was EXCELLENT! My wife tip him extra after I'd already tipped him. Great service. Good food. Will go again.
I love ls this place at on time good food great service. I wouldnt even step in this resturant. If you do the staff will not look at you Or take order You ask for a server or manger for help. They would walk out first then see to your needs
1st time eating here. Our waiter was Wes. He served us very well, very kind! Thank you?I ordered the Grilled Cob Salad. I was extremely please?, huge bowl. Extremely full. I loved it. sweet potato fries, perfectly made.. Yummy. We also ordered pork chops. Tasted well. Broccoli rice casserole was well made. Chicken dumpling soup tasted great. Restaurant was clean.We will stop in the next time we are in town.
Delicious food and fast and pleasant service. Chicken fried steak and broccoli rice and cheese is outstanding. Cornbread appetizer is only $3 and is a little spicy but super good with butter on top! Rolls are also fresh and tasty!
Went last night for dinner. We had to request a kid cup for our toddler after she received a regular adult glass. Our house salad came out wrong. When our food came out everything was cold! Then they ran out of sweet tea so they requested a coke instead. But come to find out they were charging us for both drinks. No one really ate their food it was all cold and old it seemed. The waiter seemed to have no idea what he was doing. The manager just said they don't think and he would adjust our check. Yeah he took off $4.50 from a $60 bill. Completely ridiculous I would never go here or recommend it to anyone!! We had to go and buy dinner somewhere else when we left.
