We went for brunch, a carafe of mimosas as only $15. Bubbles and squeak was the dish I chose and if offered that everyday I would weigh 400lbs. Our waiter was attentive without being annoying, I cannot tell you what a joy that in and of itself was. If you decide to go here order an English dish, hence the theme of the establishment.
Stopped by for dinner and had the scotch eggs which were delicious. The jalapeño jam it comes with was amazing. My brother got the patty melt and said he enjoyed it. Went back the next day for brunch and got eggs on potato cakes, also delicious.Service was great both times. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is great. Ample parking.
Less than the best. If I am paying $18 for a sampler everything better be on point. Cheese fries were bbbbuuurnnntttt. Like maybe with a flamethrower. I would never have served these to my patrons...Maybe the bartender thought burnt carbs=less carbs? Idk. Not impressed.
I tried to give it 4 and half stars but my phone wants to be a pain, anyways let me say I have been living in the area for 3 1/2yrs and we drove by the other day and I said to hubs what they have, so we looked at the menu and was like yep gotta try it, so we arrived today for a lunch date... what really caught my eye was the fried fish and chips, something I been craving, so we arrived and they had the fish but no tarter sauce, i really enjoy tarter sauce with my fish ? even tho our server Viki tried to get me some sauce made, I chose the next best thing, a burger, the London burger, which was delicious, never had a burger with aged white cheddar but it was delicious, the fresh made onion rings was delicious also and tasty I love a good fried onion ring, I'm not a fan of homemade fries but they tasted good, for our appetizer we had the potatoe croquettes which was a light tasty potato, not a heavy tasting appetizer, overall we enjoyed every bit of our experience and food, we will definitely be back, cause I'm still craving fish ???
Nice ambiance. Must try watermelon sugar martini. Dog friendly patio. Staff is friendly but it was busy as it was Sunday brunch time. Highly recommend.
The French toast was some of the best I've had! The only part of the experience I would change would be the lack of clarity regarding menu options. Had no clue about the buffet until I was leaving and it looked great!
I love this pub. It's a great little hidden secret. Fish and chips are always amazing. It has a great selection of beer and the Sunday brunch is simply the best! During the summer the beer garden is a great place to hang out and they seem to always have something going on.
The food was pretty good and was all fresh and homemade. The food was definitely the best part. I got fish and chips, which was cod with nice crispy fried batter and fresh cut fries. I liked the outdoor patio area, inside was a bit dark with a tavern like feel. Service was efficient and friendly, but nothing note worthy. They had a wine list but were out of Moscato so I was bummed about that. If you're into craft beer you might enjoy having some drinks here, but none of your basic domestic beers on the menu. The food menu was a bit limited and even had a few items marked "discontinued".
What’s good is a menu that actually takes inspiration from English and European food, but isn’t afraid to innovate. Definitely try the Monte Cristo Egg rolls!
Meh. Food was over salted which was a huge disappointment considering the prices. Very nice outdoor area, though the heaters weren't on and it was freezing out. Nick was super nice and helpful, also a great selection of drinks to choose from.
