The rating is based on the atmosphere. Let me say this first- the food was good. It is some REAL good BBQ. Had the brisket and pulled pork and it was spot on. The atmosphere was horrible. Came in to the waitresses making bead bracelets. So my family interrupted that. Then I saw one of the cooks vapid at the bar as he took his break. There was a ton of sitting around and service was slow given the fact there was only my family and one other. My waitress was nice, although the socializing got in the way of her job. My picture below depicts employees literally sitting around....Like I said, good food, just wasn't ran well.
Listen.. the brisket IS good like all the reviews say but that’s about it….Service was mediocre, the sides were extremely disappointing(mac&cheese was very under cooked), and the music Was really loud. The view and brisket are the reason for the two stars.
We all loved the Texas BBQ. Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great tasting appetizers. Fried pickels, and fried cauliflower. Side dishes mac-n-cheese and potatoes were very good. The brisket was AWESOME.
SIDEWAYS has got the meat, but that's about it.The bartender was certainly kind if a little slow to serve. My French 75 came out surprisingly sweet and my girlfriend's Cosmopolitan surprisingly unsweet. I would've stayed to try their tap as the variety looked and sounded enticing, but the food unfortunately pulled me away.We ordered two Hangover Helpers and Nachos with pulled pork to share. The Hangover Helper was delicious; a sweet bun with pickles, onions, chopped brisket and fried jalapeno all cooked and paired to perfection. The nachos however, were lathered in what I could only compare to Kraft American cheese. The pulled pork became its saving grace before we picked the meat off the nachos to eat it alone. The atmosphere was pleasant on a sunny day by the pier with solid country music to boot. The servers were sparse, chatting by the kitchen as our nachos (an appetizer) sat there until the sandwiches were ready. Perhaps they wanted to hold off until the good stuff was ready. If you're going for the meats, you're in for a good time. My only urge is for the kitchen to more carefully consider the additional menu items and management to consider the quality of service.
Always a good time at this place. Live music all the time, although not always the genre that you might prefer. But atmosphere always feels right and the food is awesome.
Came here to celebrate a birthday lunch. The beer was cold unfortunately I don't like my food like I like my beer. All the food was cold I don't know if they were trying to bring it out all at once but that backfired. I have to thank the waitress for going the extra mile and offering to swap the food. Some of us did some of us just ate was a party of 10. Want to thank the waitress Raigen T her attitude and her great service managed to save our experience here. Was the only reason 4 stars . Overall great place
Starting with warm draft beer then moving on to greasy brisket. The mozzarella sticks and fried okra tastes the same. Old oil I suspect. Stay away!!!
This is the first time that my husband and I have ever been here, it was so nice the only thing that wasn't was waiting on the bartender to serve us another beer. A waitress kept saying she had to wait on the bartender, plus she got my order and my granddaughter's wrong. I was supposed to have pickled jalapeno peppers with sausage and chopped brisket and she had a chopped brisket sandwich. We had our sides right, but she got the sandwiches wrong and my granddaughter didn't eat because it burnt her mouth. It was kind of pricey so I'm not sure if we'll go there again, but the food was excellent. So we might or might not be back, I'm pushing on going back not with so many people. I would recommend this place to a lot of people because the atmosphere is fantastic, you can look out over the lake and it's a beautiful sight.
This food was AMAZING!!! I ordered for the first time for delivery. The food was ?. They made a sauce that seemed to be bleu cheese based was the ABSOLUTE BEST SQUARE I’VE EVER HAD. I put it on EVERYTHING. We ordered 2 gut ticklers and pork ribs. I will DEFIANTLY ORDER AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ??
Food and staff were equally wonderful. Sunset views amazing. We did a family style dinner and got to share a little bit of everything. We liked the brisket the best. They were out of ribs which was a bummer. Try their pineapple margarita!
