Although this is a beautiful establishment and service was pleasant. I have to warn you! If you are looking for an authentic Mexican meal; this is not the place. I'm not a picky person so I can say the food was decent but I was very disappointed. I am from California and I just expected better. No shade, just wish I had known. I would've eaten elsewhere.
This was my first trip post pandemic and the first stop was here after leaving the airport. There were many good selections to choose from but decided on the fajitas. The portions were great for their price. I did not have to wait long for my food after I ordered which was a plus. The customer service was impeccable from start to finish which is a rare find in NC. When I am in this area again, this will truly be on my list of places to dine. I will be recommending Rosa's to my traveling friends.
We do not recommend. We are truckers parked across the street at the TA. My husband is a white man from a small town in Oklahoma, he use to love going to different "Mexican" restaurants until he married me, a Mexican who loves to cook; he expressed his dislike for the food immediately and refused to continue eating.Tamales (pork) taste like truck stop El Monte Tamales and the same size. The queso is canned cheese like little league baseball concession stand, the tortillas taste worse than store bought. The only decent thing was the Chile Verde plate and the chile verde salsa.
Loved the family atmosphere here! They had large booths for families with kids. I had never been here before, and I loved the ambience and the atmosphere. We came on Taco Tuesday and it was about $5.45 for a 3 taco meal with beans and rice, not including drink. They have a big salsa bar with lots of choices and complimentary soft shells to put butter and honey on. Like dessert! Fun place.
Nice staff, got our drive through quickly and everything was very good. (To be honest it was just some beans, rice and tortillas for a little snack.) I had eaten here one time about 6.5 years ago and can't say I was particularly impressed. But it was one meal and I'd never had the chance to try them again. To be honest the beans and rice were good. I liked them. But the tortillas were amazing. I understand now why my wife raves about them.
It's part regular sit down and part fast-ish food but one thing is certain. The food is excellent. Beef fajitas are the best. The meat is great. This visit was very busy and finding a clean table was a bit of a challenge. We will be back again!
The greeter/order taker was sweet and very patient, again. She had answers for all our questions and we had several good choices for seating in the dining room. The dining atmosphere is festive without being too loud. The colorful decor puts you in Mexico and the excellent food makes you want to linger. Our eyes are usually bigger than our stomach so we get a "To Go" box and take leftovers home to enjoy for days. I am not a fan of mole' sauce and the green salsa is a bit too hot for me. Otherwise I can devour anything on the menu with delight. The food is always ready fast but it is "way more better" than normal fast food. I have frequented Rosa's since it opened originally in Odessa, Texas where I grew up. Remember Ukraine in your prayers.
This is a favorite spot , food is consistent and the fajitas are cooked very well , very authentic tex Mex style . Love it!!
We love Rosa's! Breakfast tacos are our favorite, but we can't complain about lunch or dinner. Food is great, staff are kind, restaurant is clean. We really look forward to to our weekend breakfast here.
For a counter-service type mexican restaurant, Rosa's is at the top of the list. Never a bad meal over the years along with an excellent self-serve condiment bar. This Rosa's is fairly busy at lunchtime but the line that generally moves quickly.
