If you are thinking about going to the Popeyes in Rockwall. Please be sure to check your order before you leave. Last night makes 4 different times that they have screwed up our order. I ordered the 12 piece spicy, all legs and thighs. Before I walked out, I made sure to check that it was just legs & thighs in box. The last time I ordered the same thing and got home with a box full of breasts. I didn’t think I actually needed to count the pieces. When I got home Mark said, “you only got 9 pieces.” Well dang. So I called and told them I would be back today to get my 3 pieces. For $32, I went back. So I take my receipt in and tell them I want my other THREE pieces. And that I only got 9 pieces. I said “3 pieces” to two different people. The manager says to the worker, give her the SIX pieces. Can these people just not count? At this point I decided if they’re this stupid, then it’s on them.
Rockwall Texas,this has been going on for about a month. Apparently the manager and staff doesn't know what spicy chicken is because every time I place a order for spicy,they give me undercooked regular. This place is the worst excuse for a business. Once in awhile they have a different manage on site and you can tell the difference in the service you get.I will take pictures and post the nexts time I go and get bad service. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE
Usually, I have an average experience at Popeyes. Yesterday, the customer service was horrific -- and it was from the Manager! I ordered eight blackened chicken tenders, which is a 5-piece combo and 3 additional tenders. She rang up a Family Combo, which came up to $30. I was looking at the screen and I could see that she keyed in something that wasn’t quite what I wanted. I told her that was a mistake and that the pricing was incorrect on the screen. So, she was said, “The pricing is right.” So, I said I could pull to the window so we could clear it up. I thought maybe she couldn’t hear me.So, I get to the window, and I tell her that my order isn’t correct and that the price is more than this meal is usually. She immediately became defensive and combative. She said, if you have a problem with the prices, you need to call Corporate. I don’t make the prices. I said no, I usually don’t have a problem with the prices, but for 8 tenders, it usually doesn’t cost $30. She began yelling at me and saying, “Like I said, if you have a problem with the price you need to call Corporate. The prices went up and I don’t control them.”I then asked, could she simply repeat my order, then. She was like, “No because if you have a problem with pricing, you need to call Corporate.” I was like, “Can you just tell me what you keyed in. Can you repeat my order.” She said, “I got down what you said.” I then asked, can I then see the receipt or something, so I can verify my order.” “She was like, no you have to pay first.” I told her I’m not paying $30 for 8 tenders. I don’t think that’s right.So, finally an associate comes over and looks at the order. He sees the problem and fixes it. My order is then $17. I was like, thank you. That’s what I ordered. She was like, “NO, I took down what you ordered. This is what you said!” She had keyed in an 8 piece Family Order! I was like, No Maam, that’s not correct!” Finally, I said, “May I speak to a Manager.”She was like, “I AM THE MANAGER.”I was floored! How could the Manager talk to me like that and carry on in this manner? I was like, WOW. So, I went in and asked for her name and told her that I was going to escalate this because the way she acted wasn't right. She ignored me and continued speaking in Spanish to her employees because she knew I couldn't understand what she was saying. She told them not to give me her name. So, I called Corporate. This was such a crazy experience!
Food is always solid, but the could use some better management. This location struggles with anyone other than the drive through for timeliness and the staff is a little short with you.
Red-Beans and Rice is the draw for me. My wife loves the mashed potatoes and Cajan gravy. We typically order the regular fried chicken, but I also delight in the sausage dish that I can't spell. These items are so tasty that we haven't strayed into other columns of their menu. Who can neglect the warm, buttered biscuits that come with each combo meal? I am always pleased with the service, whose attention and speed are only exceeded by their friendly and cheerful attitudes. Seniors ask for their discount and they are happy to oblige. Try not to spill the crumbs from your biscuit in your lap on the way home! Louisiana's best came West.
I visited this location yesterday afternoon. I had 2 cars ahead of me in line and I was with my disabled father. I stopped for a chicken sandwich nothing big after about 10 minutes I pulled up to the order screen and ordered my chicken sandwich combo was told to pull to the window for my total. I sat in line for 30 minutes and not 1 of the cars in front of me ever moved. This is ridiculous I could have easily gone to another FAST food restaurant eaten and left. In this time it's the most time I ever spent in a fast food drive through. I left and never received my order. I will more then likely never return to this location again and would suggest others go elsewhere as well.
Cold nuggets. Usually this location serves hot food. Not this time. Disappointed.
My wife ? Popeye and always make to go there, if I am not lazy ? she eat Popeye chickens everyday.
I would give negative 5 stars if possible. Very regular customers. Rarely a problem until yesterday's order. More than 4 inches of backbone and neck still attached to breast.It is not skin as pictures show bones of back in the piece protruding from breast. I have additional photos. When notified just nowhere, the manager and the employee who closed last night called me a liar. The employee even said that chickens only have feathers on their wings (??????) when I said we have previously gotten chicken pieces that still had feathers attached as well. Was screamed at by both manager and employee before manager up on me. She said I had to return chicken today to get a replacement. Told her we live more than 15 miles away and would not travel 30 miles to bring it back but I still had tge chicken, receipt and bag and happy to send pictures. She screamed at me and said I had to return chicken today if I wanted her to do anything. Called corp. They will "escalate" and send coupon that may arrive in 8 weeks???? Not what I call customer service. 40 year customers who will find a different location or just a new chicken place.
Though we don't get this very often. But when we do it's the first thing we crave. Their spicy chicken is the best. Honestly I can't pick just one thing from here cause it's all deliciously good.
