My sister suggested this restaurant on our "sister day out." Never heard of this place, but I am already looking forward to going back. You order your basic meal, then dress it up on your own with whatever you want from the yummy bar of all things amazing, like tomato, lettuce, pickle, but also things like mushroom sauce, gravy, A1, and so on. Our burgers were cooked just right and we're served quickly. The staff were helpful, approachable, and kept a smile all the while. I don't live anywhere close and we seldom visit this area, but I will go back when I can.
Just okay. 1/2 lb ($8.50) Burger was juicy, but outside of that it didn’t have much flavor. Hickory sauce honestly saved the burger for me. Cheese was cold and just thrown on at the end (at least let it melt a second). Paid an extra $1.25 for a slice of cheese and almost $5 for a normal side of fries. Can’t justify paying $20 for a regular burger, fries, and a Dr Pepper. I’m all for supporting local but not at those prices.Staff was awesome and the environment is nostalgic and comfortable.
Great classic burger. You put your own toppings on from the bar. Not super fancy with exotic burgers like some places but they've perfected what they do have. Flavor and taste are very fresh.
We were looking for a good burger place and landed here. It's homey and seems to be family owned. The onion rings were great. The burger was quite satisfying. I added a side of guacamole and it was so good. I took it home and ate it with chips later. Definitely a good homemade guac. My oldest daughter loved the grilled cheese and my youngest loved the French fries. We will definitely be back.
A totally nice eatery. We tried to go to the Thai place but it was closed due to no staffing. BUT...Joe Willys is one of those best kept secret places. I had the BBQ boneless chicken(chicken strips with bbq sauce) but a very pleasant surprise--delicious. Big servings- my wife got the taco salad and it came with 2 strips of bacon on top--she got a to go box. My daughter got a patty melt and side fries. This place reminds me of a family owned place with lots of framed pictures of local sports teams. We will go back. Two policemen came in to eat too. They let me take their picture, but it did not turn out. P.S. sorry for the short novella--but at least it is "G" rated!!
Excellent burger and sides place. Big portions, great prices and service. I recommend giving them a try.
U build yr burger. Lots of good lettuce and tomatos. Fried mushrooms (large order $9) not that great but saved by the cream gravy. Lots of local kid pics on wall from years past so a funky kind of nostalgia abounds.
Fried mushrooms are superb! The fried pickles were pretty good as well my first time eating a fried pickle a tad salty but not bad. Also tried a patty melt pretty good. I'll visit again whenever I'm in town.
I was very disappointed with the service and quality of the food. For a mom and pop place I was hoping for more of that vibe. My kiddos were done eating by the time thier shakes were done and we were getting ready to leave without the shakes. They took way to long. The fries were soggy and the chicken stripes were rubbery. We had high hopes but will not be going back. Paid alot of money for 2 star quality.
This was a delightful quaint place for family and friends the food is fantastic the staff is friendly it's a great atmosphere pricesare reasonable. They have great burgers and Philly cheese steaks sandwiches and variety of other foods.
