Had no idea this gem was hidden at the Harbor, me and my girlfriend decided to give it a shot. Everyone was so friendly and our waiter was very attentive. For our appetizer we ordered the spinach dip. It comes with this delicious bread that I could not stop eating . For my entree I ordered the spicy pork sausage with rigatoni pasta. Wow must I say it was exquisite. Everything is freshly made and very flavorful. Oh almost forgot to mention, don't forget to try their mushroom risotto??. This place is a must try and I can't wait to go back soon.
Y'ALL! This is my absolute FAVORITE restaurant EVER! Giovanni has THE BEST food, awesome service and even more amazing people. I have not had one bad meal in the many, many times I have eaten here. This is a great lunch spot for fun or business, fun/upbeat or romantic dinner spot and they also offer an excellent SUNDAY BRUNCH! Melissa is a rock'n bartender, Jeremy is a fun server with attention to detail, Sean is the SUPER manager and the owner is always there and extremely accommodating to everyone. You're close to the beautiful views at the Rockwall Harbor and I have never had an issue with parking. Valet is also available. Here are just a few pictures of their awesome plates. Highly recommend!
We loved our brunch entrees. The charcuterie appetizer was very good. The steak and cheese sandwich was awesome. We also got the Cobb salad that was very fresh and flavorful. Others in our party got the crab cake eggs Benedict that looked really good. The eggs were cooked perfect. The lump crab and stuffing was very moist and fresh. The grilled chicken pesto was really good too. Can't wait to come back for dinner.
Before I started working here, this was my go to spot with my family. I have always admired the amazing ambiance, family feel, and great food. Working here has been a blessing. I am surrounded by great customers, staff, and management. I will always bring my out of town family members here, and continue to impress them by this restaurant! :)
Extremely salty food. I add extra salt on my food all the time, but this time the dishes were so salty . The lobster and tomato soups were both so salty. The spinach dip was too salty. Tonight's special, the 14 oz steak, had a layer of salt on it, and my pasta was so salty, I only ate 1/4 of it. The stuffed shrimp also was too salty. The server was great. 5/5 for service, 1/5 for food. $200 for over-salted food. Do not recommend.
I recently dined at Giovanni’s with a group of friends, and I have to say, this place is amazing! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the service prompt, and the food is to die for. Our waiter, Jeremy, was great — very friendly and attentive, explained the menu and specials to us, and answered all of our questions. I will definitely be coming back.
Beyond disappointed. I’ve been here many times and never had an issue until tonight. It was a 45 minute wait which was completely fine, we walked around and were seated about 50 minutes after we arrived. We had to ask for bread which they usually automatically bring. The real issue is that once we ordered it took over an hour to receive our food. It was such a long wait that my toddler actually fell asleep. So that left my child asleep without dinner and me holding him unable to eat my dinner (although at that point honestly I didn’t even care to I was so frustrated). I had asked to cancel the order if it had not been started, magically it was out 5 or so minutes later. Was told a manager would come by to talk to us and that never happened. We were then offered free dessert, as if I would have wanted to spend a minute longer there holding my sleeping toddler. We told them we didn’t want a dessert and at the very least needed the kids meal removed from the tab. I honestly don’t think I should have had to pay for mine at that point either because after over an hour of waiting I was unable to eat it. I get it, food places are busy right now. But I watched several tables who arrived and ordered their food after us receive their food first, so I don’t know if it was an issue with the kitchen or the server not placing the order. Whatever the problem was, it was completely unacceptable. I’m not sure I’ll be wasting my time or money here again which is sad because it used to be a regular spot of ours.
This place is so delicious I got the chicken sandwich and it is so good love it definitely recommend friendly staff too!
