First time going.* MAKE RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME. Save yourself the pain of having an over HOUR AND 40 MIN. Wait like our family of 4 had to. We did so no problem.? Lots to look at .... Excellent choice of seafood and the drink menu had a good variety of fruity cocktails and you get to keep the glass on select drinks?...kids menu available. Had the shrimp brochette and they were yummy and spicy. The rice was nice and fluffy and spicy. Outside seating was very nice sitting by the lake. Beautiful view. Will definitely be coming back.
Service was awful. Two of us sat at the bar because no one was at the door. We waited 15 minutes before we saw a man and asked him if someone was going to take our order. He replied "I'm just a server, I don't work the bar". I told him I really appreciated his help as he walked away. I few minutes later a woman walked out and waited on us. I can take bad food before I will spend my hard earned money on bad service. The bartender was nice but that server, wow. The food is mediocre. I am from Louisiana so I know how Cajun tastes and love it. We had the lunch Cajun combo, Gumbo, Caesar salad and crawfish with 2 beers each. There are other restaurants at The Harbor with better food. I know it's tough finding decent workers but if your servers run off your customers you won't need them.
Service was great... food was a flop!Boiled seafood was decent.Broiled oysters were so small... good flavor.Grilled gulf shrimp plate was awful! All of it was cold and the shrimp tasted old.Chicken and sausage gumbo was cold, no sausage and very little flavor.Hurricane drink was great.Spent $240 for 4 people for a VERY mediocre, unsatisfying meal.
Decided to go here on a whim with my boyfriend. It was pretty dead so we got seated fast and the food came out quickly. And it was all relatively okay food. So a star for that.My issue is not only did the manager keep checking in on us pretty much every 5 minutes and we could barely go any time to eat without him showing up. After we paid, and were getting ready to leave the table, the manager goes into the back and starts making fun of the fact we were wearing masks and said something about us looking like ravers at a party. We were wearing sweaters and I was in a floor length suede skirt. (Yes, I heard you sir. I don't understand how you thought the handful of feet from our table to that little back space by the table supplies and togo boxes would hide your voice). No matter your opinions on wearing masks during this time, that's incredibly rude and appalling to make fun of your customers appearance. Especially as you might as well have been in front of us.
We were staying at the hotel next door for a night and decided to try something within walking distance. I thought a Louisiana native could try a Cajun joint. My children had Gumbo, they didn't eat it. Gave it back for nachos. My fish was soggy and underseasoned. The cocktails of which we had 3 or four were overly sweet and didn't get the job done. If you want a taste of the South coming from a place were you've never had it, this would satisfy you. We as a family of 4 didn't enjoy it. I'd recommend one of the several other close by options if your staying in the area.
THE TURKEY WAS BURNT TO A CRISP!!??I do NOT reccomend using this place to feed your family for Thanskgiving. I just paid $100 for a "pan" of macaroni and cheese and a turkey. The website said it would feed 10 to 12 people. The macaroni will barely feed a family of 4.Very very disappointed! They sent my husband home with tiny togo containers and when it called about it. They just said sorry, I know its small but its a new thing this year. What a waste of money!! Horrible!! And it didnt mention the turkey when it called because I at least had good faith in it but NOPE! It was burnt to hard it wasn't edible! Ruined our thanksgiving. When it had origanally ordered this too..the lady told me i would be sent home with heat up instructions because all the cooked tome slots were taken. I said that was fine. When my husband went to pick it up, they told him it would 20 mins before my order was ready. Ok. So he waited..after the 20 mins, he went back inside to where he was told another 15 more mins now before the order was ready I guess in those extra 15 mins is when they decided it would be ok to send home this burnt turkey to a family . SMH..
Let me say, I had the Thanksgiving bundle 2Yrs in a row. First time, it was good. Last year was so horrific, that it absolutely ruined my Thanksgiving. I definitely would not use these guys in planning your holiday meals. First holiday bundle was good, but last was the worst ever. Inedible and embarrassing. When you call and complain, well I dont care. That's the attitude you well receive. Highly recommend go elsewhere.
a minute agoNEW I do NOT reccomend using this place to feed your family for Thanskgiving. I just paid $25 for a "pan" of macaroni and cheese. The website said it would feed 10 to 12 people. It will barely feed a family of 4. Very very disappointed! They sent my husband home with tiny togo containers and said of it. What a waste of money!! Horrible Update: the turkey was burnt to a crisp too!! $100 wasted
Food, drinks and service are always top notch.
