Okay! Well I'm just stumped. So far downtown Rockwall has been top notch for food. Bin 303, Wells Cattle, Zanata, and now Charlie's are amazing. What makes Charlies unique is definitely their style of cooking. You can see and taste some of the Latin inspired ingredients in some of their items. I got the Charlie's Burger and I have to say that their sun dried tomatoes were awesome. It was a great compliment to their burger and can only say that it was a tad too sweet but it hardly impacted the overall taste of their burger. If you are looking for a burger and beer place look no further than Charlie's. I do also recommend tasting Bin 303 and Wells Cattle as each have their own unique taste.
On the SouthEast end of the Rockwall Square surrounding the historic courthouse, there is an amazing Burger and Street Taco restaurant and bar nestled behind the big red bricked HALL BUILDING. Look for the CHARLIES sign. Walk in and be seated to enjoy yourself a nice variety of craft beers. Dine on food made with care and presentation worthy of a fine dining experience which for me wad shaped from the delicious burger and a wedge salad. Both were on point, as was my beer. I hope you too will take a visit to the Square in Rockwall and hit up Charlies for some quality grub
Amazing food service all around. Best salsa, onion rings, burgers, and beer! This was our first visit and we will return!
Cost vs qualityThe burger was very dry with little flavor.I got the mushroom Swiss and my wife got their signature burger. Took 20 min for something I hoped to be one of the best burgers I have had. The fried pickles were great. The staff was very friendly.
Charlie’s is always great. Great food, great ambiance and great service. It also helps that the owner/manager goes above and beyond to take care of both the customers as well as his own employees as well. That speaks volumes.
Reason why I rating 3 stars is because of the cost verses quality. For the competition around this area all the way up to Wylie. Paying $11 for a classic burger (a la carte) with no fries or no drinks is a bit much in my opinion when there’s so much competition and with equal or better quality tasting food in the area. Nice environment / setup though.
Great atmosphere and food. Highly recommend their elote! Jacob was our server, i believe (tall guy with beard); such a nice dude and proud of his work. Only wish is that they serve cocktails!
Went into this establishment with friends on a Sunday. Place was fast,polite and clean. Ordered three different tacos,which were 5/5. Chips & Queso is all homemade and you can tell. Extremely great food. 5/5. Will return and recommend.
We always enjoy ourselves at Charlie’s! It’s got some finger licking tacos and tasty burgers. Our favorites are the fried quail and the short rib tacos. This restaurant has great atmosphere with a garage windowed walk up bar.
a great place to grab a taco, or half a dozen. And great staff with a very cool and innovative chef. i can't wait to go back, the next time I'm in town.
