This place is amazing! Staff is so friendly and really gives the small town charm vibe! The place is clean (even the restroom!) and love the layout of the restaurant. The food is outstanding and has so much flavor it put a smile on my face. The price for feeding five was just around $80 and would have been cheaper had I not ordered alcoholic drinks. Such a great deal! Will definitely be going back! Thank you Casa Mama for the wonderful experience!
This was my second time to have lunch at Casa Mama. The atmosphere is great, the food is really good. My wife approved, which is a plus. She had the nachos with steak… Great! I had chicken enchiladas, One with sour cream sauce, the other with Mole… great, but pretty small. I thought the salsa there was pretty great. The ramekins that they came in were tiny. The owner said to ask for a bigger one next time, I will. Nothing wrong with this place. A lot right with it! Five stars, especially for being a local, family owned restaurant!
Great food, staff was courteous and fast with everything on a packed evening! You have to check this place out, on the square in downtown in a restored old building...the tables in the front are awesome!
We enjoyed the brisket enchiladas with chili con carne sauce and mashed potato brisket enchiladas. Sat quickly and staff was attentive and quick during a busy Sunday lunch.
Giving a two. Might go back. The service was terrible. My 10$ plate of enchiladas was cold and under cooked. The cheese was not even melted. I had to beg for chips and salsa. The chili con carne didn’t taste very good and was questionable. They need staffing. 3 wait staff is insufficient by far. Seemed my waiter never waited tables. Oh did I say the service was bad? The pic's on the web site is not what’s placed before you.Been waiting a very long time for a quality Mexican food restaurant in Rockwall, guess I have to continue to wait.
Finnaly open! Really nice place. It's a little cramped but food is really good. Good service.
Nice Mexican sit down restaurant. The picture of the bar is blurry but one of the waiters posed. Friendly staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Ample parking in back. Try it and recommend to others. The check-in lady at my Oncologist told me about it. I always forget to take pics of the food!
First time trying mash-potato filled enchiladas with brisket on top. It was good and very different. Not sure if a had a bad fork but very thin and sharp edges on handle. Parking can be a pain and may have to walk. Very busy location and had a great vibe. Look forward to trying other entrees.
My husband and I went to Casa Mama’s tonight for the first time. I am so thankful we overlooked the bad reviews. Our experience was top notch! The ambiance here is warm and cozy. The moment we entered we were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Our food was delicious and our server Eddie deserves his own five stars! We highly recommend you try them out yourself…you won’t be sorry!
This looks it's the place to be! We went on a Friday night right after the freeze on February 3rd. The place was jam packed but the staff was grand keeping up. It was easy to step up to the bar and grab a drink while we waited. The waiting area was small so folks were just trying to cram in where they could. Once the weather is nicer then standing outside to wait will be nice. They will also have the outside seating available as well. Now to the food. The chips and salsa were good. Not greasy and nice and crisp. The salsa was mild but still a bit spicy. I ordered a Paloma from the bar and it was a bit light on the tequila.I ordered the chicken flautas and they were just ok. Not a lot of flavor, might be a good option for a child or someone who doesn't like TexMex. My husband ordered the Carne Asada with steak. It came out on a hot cast iron skillet and stayed hot the whole time. The meat was on a bed of onions and topped with cheese. Beans and rice were on the side with a tiny bit of pico. You can so get corn or flour tortillas. He said that the cut of meat was a nice cut , not a flat and grisly piece of meat. He asked for medium and he got medium from the first bite until the end.We enjoyed the atmosphere for sure but I'll try something other than the chicken flautas next time.
