Never knew this gem was so near Granary Flats Apartments. Being new to the Richmond area, I'm always searching for new eateries. This place is jumping. Great vibes and energy from friendly staff. Brandon is attentive and courteous. Definitely coming back for the grilled fish tacos!
Don't write reviews but this place deserves one. It's not a fancy place nor is it in a prime location but it is clean and has the best quality seafood at a low cost. In other words, if you got exactly the same thing in a fancy restaurant in a prime location, you would pay 40% more.
Great service, great ambiance. Oysters were fresh, and the crawfish etouffee was on point - savory and not too salty. Waitress Emmy was knowledgeable and helpful. Came after 8 on Saturday so didn’t have to wait too long. Hope to try the other specials when I come back to the area!
Our waiter was Candelario and he provided a great service. The Oysters were very fresh and of decent size. The Fried Food Platter was very good! Pricing is reasonable for seafood.
Always very good. Most times we order one of the specials. Service is always excellent. Gets busy during regular hours, so this past time we took the opportunity to go at 4 PM, mostly as a very late lunch, but it was almost full by 5:30 PM. Never had a bad dish, or one improperly prepared. Consistently very good. Nice little bar if that is your thing. It's Texas so of course the portions are large to huge. Their hush puppies are better than most of the local BBQ joints (not greasy). It's exactly like a great little hole in the wall joint, except it's not little nor is it a hole in the wall. Just very good seafood. If you're in the area, don't miss it.UPDATE: It's been a while since we last visited, avoiding being in crowded restaurants, but we were in the area, and hungry, so we dropped in. Menu is twice the size it used to be, and the food is just as good or better. Many of the items that used to be favorite specials are now regular menu items. The Oysters on the Half Shell are as good as any other restaurant in the greater Houston area that I have reviewed (or not). They are huge and FRESH. Service here is spectacular. They serve food at the bar as well; while we were visiting, there was a steady stream of drinkers and eaters (mostly single diners).
Best seafood in Richmond/surrounding area! Our family goes to Pier 36 on a regular basis and have always left satisfied! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the service is outstanding. Also, love supporting a family owned business! Highly recommend!!!
It's no wonder this place has the top spot on Tripadvisor ratings. It's in the middle of an area that's not too appealing but the food and service more than makes up for it. I went with my kids and tried a Crawfish Etouffee and both kids had different seafood pasta meals. The food was delicious , sensibly priced and portion sizes extremely generous. Service was also excellent. Will def return on my next trip to Houston.

We always enjoy the good.I usually get dozen oysters half shell, n seared turns,And lobster bisque .Great friendly service from entire staff. We'll worth the price
Food was ok but not delicious or even great. Had fried catfish and shrimp, was bit pricey for portion you get. Chocolate cake for dessert was really good.
