I just ate here with 4 other friends. Got hot not knowing how bad itd be. In two bites the spice of the chicken completely melted my mouth like it went thru a house fire, was brought to a fire station which then got set on fire. After I regained my sense of taste i tried the fries which were pretty good. As for everyone else, they said their chicken was good. I will say there needs to be more warnings as to just how hot the heat levels are but otherwise the food is great and the staff were very nice. The vibe of the place is also good. ?
Had a great experience at the WATERVIEWlocation Richmond TX . Special shout-out to Eloy for providing exceptional service . It never fails when I arrive he remembers my face and what I order. During a time where we often we feel like customer service is shot Eloy never fails to restore the faith. The cook crew rocks - quick order turn around time and always smile behind window
The food was pretty good. Our food was made fresh after we ordered. We waited maybe about 10 minutes or so, which isn't bad at all. The Howdy Sammie "Heat Up" spice was very good. Spicy, but not overwhelming for me, and just a touch of sweetness. The slaw on the sandwich was a good ratio. The Loaded Chicken fries were good. Not very much chicken, maybe 1 tender cut up. The queso cheese on the fries is really good. The chicken breasts on the sandwich were tender, but just a little tough. That is always my experience with Halal chicken anyway, so it was to be expected. Overall, it was good. I will probably come back, but there are slightly better hot chicken places out there.
The sandwiches are always flavorful but we were not happy with our sides. Waffle fries that cost 3.99 a piece should not be rock hard.
The amount of money they charge for the food, compared with what you get is so disproportionate. Regular sized portions and crazy prices for average tasting fries. I went here twice and the second time they warmed the food so much that you could hardly eat it without burning your mouth. That needs work. And maybe a better way of seasoning your fries
Friendly! Great place! Chicken has nice sized strips! 2 is enough for me along with the sides. Love the different taste of the sauce. Only wish there was iced tea! That’s a very southern thing and definitely a Texas/Tennessee favorite. Will try the Sammie next time! Come see Kaelyn! She’s the best!
I love the chicken here! I have always doordashed from Howdy Hot Chicken and today I decided to stop by since it is close to my house. The moment I walked I had a terrible experience with the cashier who I believe to be named Kaelyn after reading all those reviews. She didn’t even want to wait until we decide what to get as if she was in a hurry and it was not her job to take our order even though we were the only customers at that moment. She kept giving looks and was not welcoming or friendly at all. The taste and the place is great but they should work on customer service and staff more!!
We went here for the first time and ordered a texas toast sandwich. We waited for our food for about 25 minutes. I watched as the employee offered every other customer who waited free small fries. When it was our turn, he threw our food on the counter and called our number. He had carried everybody else's food to them. I am very disappointed with the way we were treated because there was no altercation or problem that took place. We won't be returning, and we hope that our review will encourage the employees to treat everybody the same.
If you are craving spicy chicken, this place is amazing!! First time here, so Kaelyn was really helpful in guiding me to which heat level I should choose. I chose medium and that was pretty spicy! ( and I can eat spicy, y’all) the coleslaw helps balance everything out. I got the loaded fries and the howdy Sammie. Super filling! Restaurant was clean and organized too, nice happy atmosphere . Definitely will be back!
good service and its halal food
