I ordered online for lunch. They didn't make my order as instructed. So I contacted the location. The manager is very professional. Eventually, the owner was involved, and he made the mistake right. The food here is great, and so is the service. I will definitely be a regular customer. The red sauce is good spicey and not for the weak. I recommend this to everyone.
Came in today (6/23) around 1:40 pm for the first time. I wish I got the guys name who helped me because he was great! Made it easy going down the line for the first time. I’d probably describe it as the chipotle of gyros. Plenty of options to customize to your liking.Overall I found the flavors to be really good. Food quality was great and the portions on par with pricing. One thing the guy did that was commendable was actually draining the liquids before putting it in the rice bowl. This definitely made it more enjoyable.Would definitely recommend!
I attempted to call in a catering order, which I have done at least 15 times before. The female who answered the phone said that I could not make a phone order without paying over the phone. I have been ordering here since 2019 and I have never been told that before. I asked to speak with the manager and the person who called themselves the manager refused to give me his name when I asked him. I said Hi who am I speaking with and he said gyro republic. Who does that? The customer service at this place will cause me to NEVER eat here again. Imagine that I work hard all day long to spend my money on a bit of food- with all the places in Houston I choose this place and I am treated like less than the dirt on his shoe. I will be going to Gyro Hut from now on.
Well we don't hold back... people that follow us know this is true... We would have given a better review because the food and flavors were awesome... But the girl with the blue hair who was serving us was rude and very disrespectful... So we probably will not return... A word of advice to the girl serving... The customer is the one who purchases things so you get paid so treat everyone the way you want to be treated when your paying good money for food...Well until next time signing off Two Peas
Gyro Republic it’s favorite for my family but I enjoy sometimes because I prefer meet or fish instead chicken, it’s neat and clean and always serve fresh food.
The worst place to go. They messed up our order and when we told them that the spicy sauce is way too much . The employee in front of us said he would replace it .. Suddenly a rude girl showed up and refused us by saying she can’t replace it cause the order is not messed up but just too spicy and while we were leaving she used insulting language . I would never go back to this location.They don’t really care about their customers and are not knowledgeable about what is called a good customer service.The owner of this franchise should know how his/her employees are treating people who are there with their kids to have some good food.
For a gyro place it is ok compared to other gyro vendors (specially NYC street vendors). We tried the pita wrap with chicken. Tested ok. Serving size is pretty large. Price is decent. I'll try their gyro next time, because right now Arby's gyro is better. This place serves halal food, which is a plus for people looking for it.
Food is fantastic. Definitely my local go to for lunch since every other fast food franchise taste went south after Covid and probably due to inflation.Taste wise, the aroma is not as strong Gyro King but its tasty. The Gyro meat is well done as well.I'm also honestly glad that the owner didn't FORCE his/her employees to wear masks...which is like a revolution concept nowadays sadly. I like workers to have the right to chose.The staffs were nice well, they made sure I have more corns when I asked not to add Salad. Cheers.
This was my first time trying this restaurant. Overall the food was really good. It was a bit frustrating as I received so many peppers and chicpeas, which I did not want and did not order. That completely changed the flavor and just isn’t for me. It took a while to remove it all, but afterwards, I really enjoyed the meal.
Overall good experience. This place was clean, product was fresh, and the staff was nice. This was the second time I was here fir lunch, and it was good. The first time I had the sandwich (pita) with lamb and today I tried a bowl. The bowl was good, but next time I won’t get the rice. Really filled me up. Something I won’t do before I have to get back to work.Overall 5 stars.
