I have visited this establishment many times, and each and every time the food is always amazing and the owner is always very helpful in assisting in making menu suggestions.Atmosphere is very upbeat and cozy. Nice colorful furnishings, music in the background, and just a relaxing place to have a quick meal.I usually order either the "Lamb Gyro", "Gyro Bowl", or their best selling "Bowl". All menu offerings offer flavorful food served in fairly large portions. You will not leave hungry!
Had the lamb bowl - Gyro meat and cheese on top of yellow rice & lettuce with black olives and pickles on the side. It was a lot of food and a value for the money. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was the black olives and pickles. I was expecting something different and they were serving your typical sliced caned black olives and dill pickle chips you can get at HEB.Other than that, the place was clean, service was quick and overall friendly.
Amazing environment. Food was delicious. Restaurant, bathrooms and kitchen spotless. I loved the mango smoothie. Must try the platter. The owner is such a nice humble family man. I was sitting by myself and he came up and checked up on my twice. Very genuine and sincere. Visiting from FL, but my new favorite Houston restaurant!
Today was my first time visiting Doner&Gyros. I was greeted by the owner at the cash register and let him know it was my first time there. He was very kind and patient as he walked me through everything. I ordered a bowl with lamb, walnut baklava, fries, and a strawberry lemonade. I am so glad I went. Everything is made fresh and was delicious! The lamb is so good!!!! I will likely try everything on the menu =)!!! If you have been wanting to try, don't hesitate any longer.
I have come here twice. Both times the manager/owner was very helpful and enthusiastic to help. Both times I left full and satisfied. And both times I missed the specially gyros (pictured below) which ironically are showcased EVERYWHERE but the menu above the register. I'd recommend adding them to the overhead menu. I won't forget the third time. ? Nonetheless this is a wonderful place with unique fusion eats. See you next time!
Wow. I am from Chicago n was hungryfor good Gyros after googling thisplace. Best gyros ever. Very good kiftakabob (kofta). Must visit this place.Excellent service. ( hard to get now adays)
Great quality and best tasting Gyros in Houston. I have tried their locations in Dubai as well, same great taste. Love their Berlin style gyro. Excellent customer service as well.
Ordered Falafel and Berlin Doner, didn't like both, price was a bit expensive not cheap.Falafel taste different, never seen a cylinder shape Falafel before, they use some weird taste pink sauce, I am a middle eastern and we use tahini sauce with Falafel.The Doner wasn't the best thing ?, same weird pink sauce, taste different.Overall, I am not coming back for sure and won't recommend it to anyone who wants to taste real Falafel.
Great place. Love the variety and selection. Owner is very kind and in great spirits. He already personally knows what I usually get. When the wait times are long, he ensures clients are well taken care of. Its that kind of great service that I continue to keep coming back. God bless this business.
